Hotelli sijaitsee viidellä eristäytyneellä, puiden reunustamalla hehtaarilla, lampi, vesiputous, palo kuoppa, puiden keinu, koripallokenttä ja kävelyreitit. The Shire tuntuu miljoonan mailin päässä kaikesta - mutta ei! Olemme vain muutaman minuutin päässä viinitiloista, panimoista, upeista rannoista, ravintoloista ja ostosmahdollisuuksista. (Notre Dame on helppo 30 minuutin ajomatka).

Lounais-Michigan on kaunis paikka asua!

Tämä on 2 makuuhuoneen, 1. 5 kylpyhuoneen 1100 huoneistoa, joka sijaitsee kiinteistömme ulkopuolella sijaitsevan talon takana - täysin näkymättömänä kodistamme, joka on noin 50 metrin päässä.

Meillä on lampi, jolla on vesiputous ja kansi nauttiaksesi molemmista. Nauti palo-kuopasta ja puiden keinusta, kävelyreiteistä ja 2 hehtaarin avoimesta kentästä. Edessä on 1/2-kenttäkoripallo, ranta-tarvikkeita.
Tämä majatalo sijaitsee lähellä kohdetta Chill Hill Winery. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa asiakkaille esimerkiksi pyykinpesutilat ja pelihallin/-huoneen.

We stayed 3 nights at The Shire. It was very cozy, clean and the location was perfect for us. The only thing we experienced was a musty smell in the main bedroom and bathroom. However, Mike did explain it was due to the air conditioner which was fixed a few days prior but the mustiness was still lingering. Mike immediately brought in a dehumidifier and that solved the problem.

Beautiful country setting, so peaceful, yet just 10 minutes to local stores and restaurants. It was nice having our private drive to the main road, The rental was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could need. We were about 15 minutes from Saint Joseph's restaurants and shops. Tiscornia Beach is what dreams are made of. Hope to return in the future.

Fourth of July

We stayed Friday through Sunday. It was comfortable, very nice, well stocked, beautiful property and great location. Peaceful country location and yet close to lake Michigan and many restaurants and stores within a few miles. Beautiful fire pit area next to the pond that has string lights. Just a very relaxing, comfortable, well maintained and truly nice place!!!

Cozy quick vacation

Came for a 2 night stay with my wife and 2 toddlers. I like how secluded it was. Very clean and a lot of amenities that were useful to parents. Only down side was the tub drain didn’t stay down so we couldn’t give kids a bath so we settled for very quick screaming showers, but that’s no big deal. I would recommend a kid friendly toilet seat for the future!

Family vacation

I was blown away by how awesome it was. From the beautiful area to the fan favorite pingpong table we had a blast!! We would 100 percent stay at The Shire again! The hosts are amazing people and very friendly!! Everything was in driving distance which was great. My family had a blast feeding the fish and making s'mores by the campfire.

We spent the night here and loved the place! I wish we could have scheduled a spring or summer weather trip. It’s very peaceful and beautiful. Beds are comfortable and the place is very clean. Mike is quick to reply with questions.

We dashed over to Michigan for a girls wine tasting sleep over. We enjoyed our stay at The Shire. The host was extremely accommodating. The Shire had every amenity that we desired and more...we will be back soon!

A very nice & clean stay!

Mid winter is not the typical rental season for this property but there was plenty of heat to get the spaces warm and cozy. The unit is a nicely converted pole barn with thoughtful ameninites and a communicative host. Property is close to Lemon Creek and Round Barn wineries as well as near to Berrien Springs. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Retreat

We loved our stay at Mike and Lisa's place. Our son loved feeding the fish and roasting smores at the firepit. The home was clean, beds comfortable and necessities stocked. We did not take advantage of the bonus space, but you could easily sleep another 1-2 people there. Mike welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the house and where things were. The grounds and vineyards beyond were lovely to walk through. Highly recommend if in the area.

Anniversary/Fall Getaway

The Shire is absolutely Lovely! Pictures do not do it justice, it’s even more beautiful in person!! The hosts are wonderful and so accommodating! Every detail is top notch, the beds are fabulous and so comfortable we all slept so good! Visited wineries and breweries and ate some great food too and of course had to see the beautiful Lake Michigan and went to Silver beach. We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back!
