The hotel was satisfactory. It Is smaller than it looked on the website, and the rooms were small. I think there needs to be some more attention to maintenance tho, the room we stayed in had an odour to it, the curtains were ripped, and the bathroom shower door was sticking badly, along with dirty discoloured caulking along the bottom. I think this hotel is satisfactory for 1-2 people that just need lodging overnight. Breakfast buffet was good, lots of selection.

Every time we go to Barrie, we stay at the Fairfield hotel. It is very clean, we like the breakfast options, the service is great. And in a great location. I wish they still had the hot tub, but the pool was actually nice & warm.

The breakfast included a large variety of choices with everything fresh. Ths bed was cimfortable in a spacious room. My improvement point would be to invest in more comfortable pillows. We had two each but it felt like only one of mine at home. We look forward to visiting again.

We stayed there on the Sunday of a long weekend. Unfortunately for us, they do not work at full staff on long weekends. There was no maintenance available to help us with a mishap in the sink. First they told us it was impossible to retrieve a diamond pendent that was lost in the sink that it was already in the water system. We hadn't run the water and new it was sitting in the drain pipe. Had a hardware store been open I would have bought a wrench and retrieved it myself. They did not want to handle it because they did not have the staff there. They called in an outside plumber retrieved the pendant and then dinged me for $374.31 on my credit card. I told them that they should pick up some of the cost as they did not have the appropriate staff there. They refused. I was more than willing to split the tab but they didn't budge. I will not be using this chain of hotels again unless they are fully staffed. Even then I would be hesitant.
