Highly recomend

Cleanliness, location superb. Problem getting a taxi to hotel, which is in a pedestrian zone. However, buses and teams are free and go just about everywhere with very little wait time. No coffee maker in room. No refrigerator in room, but room spacious and nicely decorated.

During Eurovision so outside was noisy, crowded and probably not as clean as usual. But big police presence and didn’t see many problems considering number of people. Good job! And a beautiful, charming city. I’d love to return when it’s quieter.

We really enjoyed our rooms and the amenities. The lounge area was fun and vibrant. The price was very reasonable and vouchers for free transit for 24 hours was most appreciated. Dolphin assisted us and went above and beyond, ensuring we made the right tram to the airport. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Easily within walkable distance of the train station, the location was perfect for us. So much to do and see in the immediate vicinity. The continental breakfast had plenty of options, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Very good stay with very friendly and professional staff and great breakfast. Fantastic location in the historic center. We requested extra duvets as the 2 single ones given were not sufficient, especially in January which the staff gave us without a problem. There is only one liquid soap in the shower which you need to grab to wash hands. Didn’t see any recycling bins but maybe the system is different in Basel. Would return as it’s a great place to stay in this city.

Basic rooms and quite expensive, nice hotel

Hotel located in an excellent position for trams and exploring the city centre. Hotel reception and bar area, welcoming, comfortable and the staff were excellent, kind and courteous and nothing too much trouble. The rooms are very basic, carpet thin and not at all luxurious to walk on, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room not even a bottle of water and paper cups to stand my toothbrush in! The bathroom was nice and modern and very clean, i love a full length mirror and also a safe, however the double bed had 2 single quilts which didnt really work quite frankly the size was just too small. The room heating was easy to control but had no view at all from the 3 huge windows. Breakfast very nice the usual continental cold breakfast with plenty of choice though no decaffeinated breakfast tea or coffee. Only one large proper table for 10 people to sit at to eat, otherwise youre sat in the hotel reception area at a low table and chair, not good for digestion. Would i stay again, perhaps, would maybe try another hotel for comparison, but was spotlessly clean and warm so wouldnt complain, was just a basic room for the price.

We spent New Year’s in Basel and was hoping for something a little more quaint, but the hotel was clean, quiet, and convenient to a variety of restaurants and local transportation. We are INCREDIBLY grateful to the gentleman who checked us in as he let us know that the garage we had originally parked our rental car would be locked through the New Year’s holiday which would have greatly impacted our plans the next day! Thankfully we were able to move our car to a different lot and left the next morning on time. The breakfast buffet was not as extensive as I had hoped, and limited options for vegetarians without consuming a ton of sugary pastries. Other than that the room was simple, clean, and comfortable.
