Nice hotel close to town close to train station.

Walkable distance to train station. 2 minutes walk to tram. Lovely hotel very smart. Could do with review of their food prices, but generally food in switzerland is expensive. Would definately book again.

Great hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. From Basel airport took the 50 bus which c0sts 4.40 CHF, the journey is under 20 mins and stops just outside Bahnof SBB (main train station). From there the hotel is about 10 min walk. From the main train station entrance you will see Hotel Victoria on the corner arrying walking down under you see another hotel around the corner opposite the tram station (can't remember what the hotel is called). Cross the road under you see a building with a small water fountain on the outside, turn right and walk straight down this road. You will walk past Die Post (post office) and Peter Merian building, a little bit further on you will see Novotel right in front of you. There is a tram stop to the right of the hotel, which takes you to the marketplace (number 15). The hotel gives you a mobility ticket, which gives you unlimited tram and to Euroairport bus. The rooms are decent size and very quiet, but there are not may restaurants nearby.
