Expected more

I feel disappointed with my stay as my basic room (advertised as budget room at other sites) I got. I had to move out of it due to a water leak in the building. The room that I was offered instead (after some persuasion with a member of staff) was nowhere near I asked for during the booking. It was far to close to the kitchen area, so noises of cooking/washing up was from 7AM till very late at night. Because the stand of the fan in my room was broken, I had to have the window open during the hottest days of the year yet. I decided to move out sooner than booked for, despite being paid. The only reason I'm not giving lower ratings is the quality of breakfast and lunch options.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff, only one small thing, the coffee with breakfast isn’t the best. Possibly could be improved with a coffee machine offering cappuccino etc. otherwise wonderful as always

Would have been useful to know that major refurbishment was affecting the hotel & perhaps a sign directing people to the temporary entrance….didn’t affect us unduly as we literally just needed a bed for the night.

Wonderful Weekend Break

Me and my partner stayed here last weekend for 2 nights when we checked in we were greeted by Dan who is an amazing young man and should be definitely promoted to management , we were early but he checked to see if our room was ready for us, we went to the bar for lunch and he went to the kitchen to see what they didn’t have on menu to let us know, he was extremely friendly and was up for the laugh. That evening we ate in the restaurant followed by a few drinks in the bar, we were served by the manager bijay who was also very friendly and chatty, the breakfast was lovely everyday and staff were amazing , we will 1000% return here again in future.

Lovely Stay - Highly Recommended

A lovely property set in rural Bedfordshire. I arrived and checked in with ease and the staff are very friendly, polite and welcoming. Went to the bar, had food and drink and all was excellent tasting, and served in a good time. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All in all, a very lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
