Concierge Robin was kind enough to upgrade our room and provided complementary late checkout. Hotel was tidy, the only issue was that the 8th floor smelled heavily like cigarettes. This should be looked into as it affects those that are asthmatic (like my sister and I) and suffer from migraines (like my sister) since the smell triggers the migraine.

We love the convenient location. Walking distance to Tianmen Square, Temple of Heavens and subway. Nice amenities. Staff was professional. Conciege was very helpful when we asked for some local sightseeing and transportation tips. Suggest more English language training for staff as the hotel overall appears to be tailored to westerners to a significant extent.

The hotel staff were all very lovely and helpful. The first room we were given had an awful smell and it did not appear to be very clean. The staff moved us to a different room right away. I think the hotel - once upon a time was very grand, but the rooms are a bit tired looking. Location wise, it’s not too far of a walk to some of the main attractions like Tiananmen Square and some of malls.
