Great hotel friendly staff

The check in staff spoke enough English to check in east we arrived early and was able to check in straight away without having to ask. The hotel was very nice and we had two double beds . Would stay there again .

There was a huge cockroach in my companion's room on the first day we arrived, that was very unsettling as we were on the same floor. My companion got moved to another room and there was no formal apology. Given it is the marriot group, I really did not expect that kind of thing to happen. The breakfast was expensive given the quality. There was not that much option, lots of carbs, and not the kind of quality compared to other 4 stars hotel around. We stayed for 5 nights and the breakfast really was disappointing. Cleaning carts were pushed around during peak breakfast hours and it was unappetizing to see that. Overall, the room was comfortable and large, the location convenient.

The hotel’s prime location in the heart of Wangfujing is its greatest strength, offering convenience and safety. The rooms are also spacious with comfortable beds. However, our stay was marred by a significant hygiene lapse: we were greeted by a large very active cockroach in our room on the first night. While the hotel did move us, the incident left me and my kids feeling unsettled. The breakfast was also a letdown, featuring a mediocre selection and quality. Our concerns were confirmed when we saw staff openly transporting in the dining room what appeared to be low-quality ingredients to the kitchen. Despite the great location, and being a fan of Marriot group, we might not come back to this hotel again.

Smooth check in. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Clean, spacious room and bathroom. About 8 mins walk to the underground train. There is also a convenient shop opposite the hotel. Overall, a pleasant stay and will return.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience. We could not check in until almost 2 hours post confirmed check-in time. When checked in, our room smelled (they had an air purifier running so and apparently a known issue. The shower had growth (understand mold) all over. When we complained they said they can remedy the issue the next day... We decided not to follow up, but nobody asked or checked or even seem to have been bothered. All considering - a poor experience and cannot recommend this hotel. My worst experience to date in China.

Poor service rendered.

The manager at the counter was very rude towards me when I was checking out this morning. They had charged me Rmb $500 which my credit card company had billed me and she insisted that there is no payment. I even showed her my statement with the Rmb $500. Still refused to believe. We wasted 1 hour just highlighting it but to no avail. Even threatened me with the police when I said I won’t pay the full amount. Is that the way how the treat guests. I had left a feedback on Trip advisor. Now that you ask I am sharing it with you. No more for me.

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the attractions and malls. There’s also ATM inside the hotel for cash if there’s paying issue with apps. We signed up private tours with the hotel arrangements, which were great with short or no lines going to Tiananmen Square and Gugong.
