The breakfast buffet was something else! It brought out my inner fatty because there was so much good quality, fresh food. Highly recommended. The location was perfect, the pool was quiet, spacious, and the bar was good. Thebpaper cups were a bit disappointing though. However, the bar upstairs was beautiful. A proper sun trap, with beer glasses in the freezer. That was a nice touch. We'll definitely stay again!

Room was lovely big and spacious and so was the bathroom and the pool is big and wasn’t freezing considering it was September , the gym isn’t good I can’t say anything good about that lol but the rest was great, the jacuzzis in the indoor pool are both not working which sucks but otherwise a good place I would stay again.

Not a nice experience for us

Meliá has a big hotel structure in Benidorm. Facility and amenities are nice but the service is strictly by the book and such a big hotel quite crowded, make it not enjoyable. Check in was only allowed after 4pm, the big and nice swimming pool premises were closed at 8pm, having staff “pushing”us out of there even before the hour (no chance to, at least, stay there enjoying the end of the afternoon). Breakfast got a wide variety of food and drink but the quantity of people served there goes against the quality and comfort to make it enjoyable. Once again, staff was punctually closing doors … Finally, check out was 12pm sharp, having staff 15 minutes before the hour, knocking the door to remind us to leave Definitively, not a nice experience for us

We have been visiting Benidorm every year for the past 15 years (allowing for the pandemic) and for most of those visits we stay at the Melia, however I am sorry to say that this will be the last time we stay here. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff and amenities are great, but the “all inclusive” nature of the hotel has produced a drop in standards that you would never have experienced before the all inclusive option was available. Typical examples of this include the 9am race for sunbeds, people actually racing each other to get a sunbed, then the inevitable arguments when someone gets a bed someone else wanted! Also people walking around inside the hotel in shorts or bikinis, when I asked a member of staff about this they said that they don’t even try to enforce the dress code any longer because the guests argue about the rule. I like the Melia but I will now stay somewhere else that maintains standards rather that give in to the clientele it’s attracting
