worst stay ever

We booked a room for one night and was a night that I will try to forget. The room heating wasn't working, the AC did not worked on heating . We had to sleep 3 people in one bad to get warmed since the temperature in the room was around 16 C. Maybe in the summer when is warm outside the location will be good but in January stay away from it.

Perfect and worth the money

The room was well over my expectations! Firstly, it is just a very short walk away from the funicular up the upper city and the bus station. Very convenient indeed. You’ll also feel very safe because there is a password gate around the property. My room and the bathroom is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Exactly like I’m the photos provided by the hotel. There’s a bathtub to enjoy a nice bath. The air-conditioner is quiet, the hair dryer is new and powerful. Just a small negative aspect: there are loud motor vehicles constantly whirring down the road outside the property, and the vintage door is not very sound-proof. It gets quiet after 12am, but if you want to sleep early but are easily awakened by noises, please have this in mind.

Great location (only a few steps away from the funicular that takes you to the old city). Very affordable too considering the area, however we were left down by the difficulty in entering the property (we had to wait nearly 2 hours and it's really hard to contact them by phone. Also, the room wasn't very clean and there is an additional eur 10 for the parking which was not clear from the Expedia listing.

The suite and the property are beautiful. The location is great.Just a short walk to the Funicular which takes you up to the old city. Check in was not as easy - it is not intuitive how to get into the property. I was disappointed that the property comes up in Expedia when you filter for free parking, but you actually have to pay 10 Euros a day to park. I tried to explain this to the man that checked us in, but he did not understand. I did receive an email before we arrived that clearly stated that we had to pay for parking.

Nice and peaceful place in a great location

Ramé Suites is situated in a perfect area. It is only 1 minute walk to the funicular to go to the Citta Alta. And 10 minutes walk ti the Citta Bassa. Even though the place is located on a busy street, at night you wont hear a lot of noise in the room. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Ok, good for one quick night.

Negatives - my room that I was assigned to was being used when I arrived so I was told to go to the room in front that was available but it was quite dirty, as if someone had been there, even the toilet had been used. Positives - the room/ house was very warm and in a good area close to the old town

We had a medical emergency for someone in our group, so we had to leave him in a hospital overnight in Lecco on the night we had booked our rooms at Alta Via in Bergamo. Whoever answered the phone when we called to let them know that we wouldn't arrive till the wee hours of the morning was very helpful, & provided us with access information to get into the property when no one was there to check us in. My room was very charming; my friends were not as happy with their room as I was. Apparently, other guests had arrived earlier & took a look at the room they had been assigned & decided to move into my friends' reserved room. Oh well. No one was there to prevent this from happening. Concierge in the morning was very helpful making us coffee, friendly, we enjoyed chit-chatting with her. Just wish our circumstances had been better, without the medical emergency.

Lovely building in a really great location. Host was friendly and having a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room was a bonus. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Make sure you make contact with host prior to stay and upon arrival as checking in procedure means you need to meet at the hotel to get keys, instructions etc... Breakfast is just down the road at the Funiculare Cafe and was basic but decent and the hosts here where good also.

The hotel was well located near to the funicular station and bus stops to the station and airport. The room was bright and clean and the lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Check in would have been better a bit earlier than 2.30 /3 pm but we left our cases and went for a walk.Breakfast was OK.
