The hotel is ok but expensive for what it provides. I struggled to check in stood waiting but no explanation give. I believe the computers had crashed. No explanation no apology. Bar service was poor. Luckily found an excellent Harvester very nearby. Would not stay here again.

good place to stay, nice pool area.

I found the room i had was very small and bathroom had very little room to move and put your stuff down . They need a shelf to put all your cosmetics. However it is reflected in the price. the pool and sauna and steam room very very good. breakfast was like a good overall buffet but items were in hot buffet were lukewarm, to be honest similar to many hotels. staff are generally polite and efficient. would use it again overall. parking is free.

Stay was adequate. Toilets near restaurant were not clean, however pool area was ok, room was ok. Beds not that comfy but I've slept on worse. Breakfast was nice.

Staff polite and very helpful. Room nice size with comfy chairs to sit in instead of just the bed. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Bathroom adequate lovely clean white towels,soap and shampoo if required and nice hot water. Tea and coffee etc , would of liked some biscuits,that's just me . Beds clean warm and comfortable.

Not what I expected from a holiday inn

The Aircon was not working in both rooms, we were offered a free breakfast for our room, but not my daughters room when they had the same issue, but the breakfast was cold and greasy when I got it, had to have the window open to cool the room, but then had the issue with noise!! So not a good sleep

Busy bid inn

Just a stop on journey.. hotel needs a better road sign and directions. Car park is charged but adding reg is good. Beer is expensive. Customer services are good. Breakfast is good, always replaced asap. Shower room is small. Could do with being bigger.

Good for stopover

I stayed here to break up a journey from London to Scotland as I was leaving late in the evening and this was close to the M6. Room was quite large and bed comfortable, only downside was that the smart TV in the room wasn't working but that didn't bother me so just reported it when leaving. I went for a swim in the on-site pool in the morning and it wasn't too busy.

Dated Exterior - otherwise pretty good

The hotel is your standard Holiday Inn guess the buildings are from 70s maybe 80s. All looks very dated from outside. It’s a hotel by the motorway and that’s what you get. Room was nicely modernised so no complaints there. Had food in the bar and it was pretty fine. Used the gym which was fine. Continental breakfast is well priced and plenty of choice - the girl welcoming guests to breakfast was very pleasant.

Adequate, but not a hotel I'd return to.

Very tired and worn, adequate for an overnight stay. Cleaners doing their best, but carpets and upholstery stained and old. Breakfast OK, nice patisserie but bacon was poor.
