The weekend we stayed was half term so alot busier, which was fine. We ended up paying in the wrong car park, so that was a mistake as we are not local and didn’t realised that there was two car parks. And the actual car park is named B4 not just the postcode. The discounted on name It felt the restaurant was not geared up for the amount of people staying at the hotel. Sauce bottles not refilled/replaced. Cold hot food, scrambled eggs, hash brown, tomatoes, lukewarm bacon and beans. Only thing hot was sausages that just came out. Dozen croissant brought out that w3nt in seconds. Need better management. Table service was great, tables ckeaned and clear. Good system when tables are full but few slipped fastbwhen there was a queue. Rooms, lovely and seen clean. Comfy double bed with optional pillow softness. Will stay again, great location.

Bed & pillows were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was a disaster! Not enough tables. Ran out of plates then mugs & glasses & then no cutlery. Ran out of hot food & then bread & the coffee machine ran out of milk. Not enough staff to sort it out.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The room we stayed in smelt of stale smoke, the sofa bed was too small for my children to share so my son had to sleep on cushions on the floor... the main bed was awful: small and creaky with a dip in the middle. Also the room temperature kept fluctuating between boiling hot and freezing cold. Consequently, my family and I got no sleep at all. There was no one at reception to speak to in the morning on checkout. I have complained and fed back to the hotel via Expedia without satisfaction.

No hot water for shower. Room was cold because heating wasn’t working but electric heater was available although bathroom was still cold. TV didn’t work. Sofa was stained. Shower tray chipped. Dirty plates left on breakfast table but in fairness to staff they were rushed off their feet.

Food service in the restaurant took two hours for dinner, they were clearly in some sort of meltdown. Dishes came out in pairs and it took and hour for our group of 12. Mine last - just a salad!
