Check in was smooth. The thermostat in the room was broken. It's winter. It was freezing cold in the room. We informed reception and the receptionist said he'd sort it. That was 7pm. 10pm we went downstairs and he said he'd have someone look at it. We then went out and can back at 2am and the issue was not sorted. Portable heater not offered. We raised the issue to Chico - he was great. Gave us a new room for disabled guests but we didn't mind as long as it was warm. Thanks Chico. The room was not better however. Very small window and the heating took ages to get going. There was incredible dust from the air conditioner. Caused us to cough etc. It was unpleasant. Very disappointed in the Holiday Inn here. At checkout they asked about our stay and we explained. The manager on the day stated she'd give us a partial refund. Thank you. You also get a discount for the carpark if you park at B4 around the corner.

Friendly staff . Clean room although room was showing signs of age it was extremely clean. Good choice at breakfast but hot food needed to be hotter for me. Good location for rail station & shops.

Is a walk from the main entertainment and the breakfast was chaotic. Staff moved aimlessly through the chaos oblivious to the fact there was a queue of people waiting for breakfast with tables empty of people but piled high with plates. Holiday Inn could do with employing more staff at breakfast time to keep things moving and train the staff they do have to move a bit faster - hotel was clean
