We arrived at 1:55pm and had a phone call 5 mins previous to say that our reservation had been cancelled. There was no longer a room available for us. This was after a 5 hour car journey and we were delivering training to a host of Schools at 3:30pm

Noisy when theres an event.

The stay was somewhat compromised by excessive noise from an event that was being hosted. When the hotel mentioned there would be an event shortly after booking I didn't quite anticipate the soundsystem to be at full capacity to the extent of the walls and affixed television literally vibrating from the bass until half past midnight. Other slight quibbles include the swimming pool that was out of use due to refurbishment works and the central heating in the room not working either, despite the fire exit doors being left open in the corridor for tradesmen. It's otherwise a pretty decent hotel but this stay was rather disruptive, they could have perhaps reduced the volume after 11pm or something. (Ground floor Family Room 5, opposite one of the venue rooms for reference. )

Average hotel - not the wow I was hoping for.

A satisfactory one night stay with my son. The hotel was average. Room a bit on the tired side. Telly was not in front of the bed and couldn’t be angled so was difficult to watch. Pool not for kids. Water, not warm enough to enjoy a bath or shower. Not the special wow I was looking for. Should have gone to the budget hotels and saved some money.

Unfortunately both the pool and jacuzzi were unavailable at the time of our stay. We had booked specifically for this and didn’t know until we arrived that it was closed. Sadly, staff weren’t very helpful and just told us to speak with Expedia. When we did this, Expedia could not do anything about it as they couldn’t get in touch with anyone from the hotel even though they tried to contact them multiple times!

Fine for one night

Pleasant, friendly staff. Room was clean, and it was refreshingly easy to adjust heating/air conditioning. Shower was good. Hair dryer did not warm up so dried with cold air, not too nice in winter! The spa was small but would have been adequate if the pool and jaccuzzi had not been cold. Thank goodness the sauna worked! Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked and staff were helpful.

Outdated bathrooms

Average hotel, rooms are basic with all amenities needed. No water supplied in room was a massive let down. Everything else was fine. Cobwebs on the ceilings.
