Good location, nearly train station. Good price. Until 11pm much was very loud, because the bar is on the ground floor. The room was clean and nice. The rubbish bid didn’t in the room

It was a very basic, but clean room. Great, free parking with ease of access to car, good areas to smoke. The room was a good distance from the bar, else we would probably have heard some noise from the loud music and socialising youths. The only other issue was ours and other rooms' smoke alarms kept going off loud just as we went to bed then we overheard that someone was working on a fault - but it didnt last long. The remote for the TV was missing. Overall its what youd expect from a popular town pub inn at a reasonable cost. We eventually had a good quiet and comfy sleep and just went on our way the next morning.

Very friendly staff, always willing to help and advise. Room perfectly serviceable, thogh could have done with a bin and a spoon for tea/coffee. The bar lively and friendly.

Room was dirty and the furniture was torn and tatty (stool in the room), paint peeling off the wall. Extremely noisy corridor with other guest running up and down screaming and shouting and even fighting. Paper thin walls, you could literally hear the people talking in the rooms adjacent. Rooms right above the entrance where people go for a smoke, mostly drunken, very load and abusive language (not that it bothered me but the family rooms are also above this area). Very dirty throughout the whole place with a horrendous smell throughout. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we thought well if the rest of the place is that bad we just didn’t fancy it. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with dirty cups and no spoons to stir with. Overall extremely disappointed but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. Was extremely cheap at £42 for two adults for the night.

There were no pillow cases on the pillows. I solved this by putting the pillows under the sheet. No working batteries in the TV remote which I was hoping to use to combat the noise from the Bar/club. Walls are in terrible shape from previous guests abusing the property
