The carpets was grimey that you stuck to it walking, also was ripped in places, that was in the halls, broken socket in the room it was craked on the front, markes on the wall.

Room was ok but needs updating and very cold on arrival. The staff were excellent. I was disappointed to be told on arrival it was paid parking and had not be informed of this when booking. Breaking bad good value for money.Restaurant and bar was good but my fish and chips were under cooked. When I complained the staff offered a new plate which I refused. They suggested no charge and a complimentary sweet which I accepted. There response to a bad situation was faultless. Well done to the manager.

The staff were good, the bar and restaurant are fine. The rooms are what let's the strawberry bank down. There is tape on the carpet covering holes, there is a lot of mould in the bathroom. The building looks generally tired and in need of refurbishment.

Decided to stay at short notice following our trip abroad. Warm, friendly welcome at reception. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, which was reasonably priced.

The staff were fine but the room had multiple issues: Toilet seat lid that fell off as it was not connected to the seat Dressing table stool had loose leg Brown stains on walls and doors Bathroom sink plug did not work No hairdryer in room No hook or rail at all in bathroom to hang towels Carpet in corridor very dirty with sundry tears fixed with gaffer tape Treads on internal corridor steps damaged and potentially dangerous

I liked the shower. Room was a bit dingy and lacking in atmosphere. TV was not working (Room 125). I went to reception who changed the batteries in the remote but the TV still did not work. The ground floor room looked out over the car park but there were no nets so I had to keep the blind down until I was dressed. Mattress was not the most comfortable although it was OK.

Terrible stay!

On arrival quite late at night, met a grumpy receptionist who made us feel quite unwelcome, got into the cold room no heating, turned on the heating. It was just making ticking noises! Found paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling. Bed was uncomfortable! Not a great stay, glad that we were only there for a night!

Two night, weekend, solo traveler stay.

I didn’t eat or drink so I can’t comment on that. The t.v was great, Netflix ready to go and other apps. The WI-FI was terrible, though there was no problem with the internet connection on telly, my phone however kept losing signal any my own service provider had even worse connection due to the location I’m sure. The bed and pillows were on the uncomfortable side too but that could just be a preference thing. One off the towels was stained but the room and bathroom were otherwise clean. It did say shower/tub combo but it was only a shower. It was very noisy, the couple above me and opposite were arguing till the early hours. A two minute walk away is a co-op, Indian restaurant, fish and chip shop and an off licence, so essentials are readily available. All in all for the price it was ok.
