This holiday home is situated 3km east off Reefton in the historical settlement of Blacks Point . The cottage backs onto the Inangahua River, great for summer swimming. Excellent fishing area. Close to the bush - excellent tramping hunting and mountain biking opportunities. Blacks Point has a museum where an extensive collection of historical items are on show. There is also a working water driven gold stamper. The nearby town of Reefton is steeped in gold and coal mining history . The town has a golf course, hotels, cafes, and an information centre.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

The house was a refurbished lovely old miners cottage. Very comfortable and restful. We had to supply our own sheets and towels which we found annoying considering we were from overseas and had to buy them. There was no tea, coffee, milk etc also no information about wifi, TV or what to do with rubbish. They need to specify to bring own linen and towels before payment is made.

The bach is clean, comfortable, it has all we needed and an escape from the grind of city life. There are great walks from the bach with local history. The museum is worth a visit.
