You’re welcome to fish here, or simply bring a picnic and listen to the birdsong.Beyond the gate, the wild beauty of Bodmin Moor beckons, ideal for walking, cycling, or simply marvelling at ancient stone structures and panoramic landscapes. Just ten minutes away, the historic town of Bodmin offers shops, a steam railway, and the atmospheric Bodmin Jail. From here you can hire a bike and set off on a journey through glades, past rivers and coast, all the way to the bustling harbour town of Padstow. With its narrow, cobbled streets and a plethora of award-winning eateries, cafes and galleries, or buzzing quayside, this is a must-visit.

Venture further to the north and discover sandy beaches at Widemouth Bay, Sandymouth Bay Beach and magical Crackington Haven, or to the Victorian seaside town of Bude with its natural sea pool and water sport famed beaches.
