The price was reasonable and the room was clean. The hotel is about 20 minutes’ driving distance from Salem, MA which was the purpose of our visit. The hotel did not respond to the message that I sent on Expedia in the days leading up to my visit (maybe they don’t have the capacity — just a heads up for anyone booking this way). They gave us three pillows for a four-person booking. Despite asking at three different times over the course of a two-night stay, they continually said that there were no extra pillows. The breakfast options were basic (individually wrapped muffins and cereal bars, instant oatmeal packets, tea and coffee) but an employee did kindly make us a new pot of coffee when we arrived to find it empty. This hotel suited our purposes but I would not stay here again.

We had a situation where our room was given to another guest. The rooms had to be sorted out according to bookings and then I had to provide my Hotels confirmation number by calling Expedia while trying to check in because the clerk said it looked as if I had cancelled my stay even though my name was registered and my room had been switched with the other guests. It was a mistake on the hotels part I believe. I was also traveling with another person but our room was only set up for one according to the number of towels and pillows that were in our room. It looked nice on the outside but wasn't very updated in our room.

Nasty!!!

Dirty and nasty. The room had dirty carpets, the sofa was nasty filled with stains and rips (looked liked it was picked up from someone’s trash) and the bedside table had something that looked like hot chocolate spilled down it, also on the mattress. Everything was either broken down or old.

My kids and I just had the worst stay at your Peabody location. We arrived late on Friday night. When we arrived, we were told that we had to be walked to our room, because the key computer wasn't working correctly. We had no keys for our room and we weren't told when we could get some . When we arrived at our room, the door was already opened to the surprise of the employee. She entered the room first to see if anyone was inside. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the pullout bed. I also noticed that the bottom shelf of the nightstand was covered with dog hair. There was also a hair on the floor. I went down to the front desk to ask for sheets, blankets and pillows and to let them know about the dog hair. The front desk clerk said she would switch our room. Sometime after we were asleep, it had to be after midnight, an employee started knocking on our door and then tried to enter the room with a key. We had the top door lock thing on or he would have walked right in. The knocking and act of trying to push open the door caused my son to wake up. My son then opened the door and the employee wanted to know why we were in the room. What????? My son explained that the front desk clerk moved us to 315 because the other room was dirty. When we arrived they said we had no reservation. I showed them the email confirmation as well as their email saying they looked forward to our stay (sent a couple weeks before our stay). When I tried to speak with the front desk he kept cutting me off, said the emails did mean we had a reservation and showed zero understanding. We had to pay out of pocket for a room as it was late.
