0 stars…Terrible experience. We couldn’t stay there. Our room had a very strong moldy smell. My daughter and I have asthma and I are highly allergic to mold. We could not stay there as it was health hazard. I texted the owner about the mold and got no response. I contacted Expedia and they said they would talk to the owner to get a refund, as we had to find alternative accommodations, due to the mold. Unfortunately, he was unwilling to do the right thing even though we couldn’t stay there due to the mold. He would not refund the money. In addition to that there were many misrepresentations about his property. At best it is a hostel. You can’t wear shoes and have to climb 3 very steep stairs to stay in an attic. The double room we paid for was a full size bed and not 2 beds. The bathroom was a sink and a toilet. It said you had to clean the bathroom after you use it. No wash cloths are provided…only towels. There are cameras watching you everywhere and you can’t watch tv without headphones or earbuds and you can’t talk in your room, only whisper. The whole thing is a sham. I am out $667 and we never stayed there. The outside of the building looked nice. The kitchen looked nice. Expedia said there was nothing they could do.

I liked the building and layout of the place. The bathrooms and kitchen were very nice. I would suggest giving the guests more options for breakfast and a linen closet for guests so they can choose quantity of towels needed. We were only given one towel and there were two of us in the room. I had to go buy a towel from the StopnShop.

One of the best stays I’ve ever had!

I can not say enough great things about my stay. Check-in was a breeze, my room was immaculate, and the rest of the property was equally as clean. They offered basic food stuffs at no charge, and kept a very well-equipped and clean kitchen. The property and room was so quiet, at times it felt like I had the place to myself. A family emergency required that I leave very abruptly and with little warning, and checking out early could not have been easier. They were very sympathetic to my situation, and went above and beyond to help me get back on my way. I will be back to stay the next time I am visiting! Please do yourself a favor and put this at the top of your list.

I have no gripes about the Host or the Property, they were incredible. However, I do not recommend booking this property through Expedia. Expedia does not allow the host to uphold their own policies regarding changes to the booking, including adding extra guests, and as a result I paid $128 more to book an extra guest compared to the $50 upcharge I would have gotten if I contacted the AirBnB. When I contacted support, they bragged that I fell for it because I consented to their charges based on false information. My advice, book directly from AirBnB for this stay, do not use Expedia for it.

The place was kept so tidy and clean. It was great to use the kitchen as dietary restrictions made eating out difficult. Dan was very responsive and a pleasure to talk to. Subway was a 10 minute walk away.

At first I was a little concerned about the instructions for getting my room but I didn’t need to be. Everything worked beautifully and I made the short walk at night from the subway with no problem and found the check in instructions to be perfect. The room was spacious and clean and the bed and linens were really comfortable. And a big clean bathroom. I really liked the place.
