Great Value for a Very Expensive Area

This hotel's location is very convenient and affordable, if you can say that about any hotel these days. It is in walking distance of an amazing shopping and dining area. For business travel to Boston, the T station is a doable walk from the hotel. There is no need to rush as the Orange Line has a train arriving every 4 or 5 minutes. While the hotel is pretty outdated and shows the wear and tear, the rooms are clean. The kitchen staff keep the breakfast area clean and well stocked. But the best part of this hotel is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful.

Airport shuttle included is a little deceiving. I called and was on hold for about 10 min. When I got someone it was 8:10pm. I ask for the shuttle and was told the next one would be at 9 and it would take 20 min to get there, so about 1/5 hours to get a shuttle. I took public transportation that took an hour to get there. I would have picked a different hotel had I known. It was the same in the morning, but I could plan for that. I had to leave too early for the breakfast, so can't speak to that. When I arrived the person that checked me in was very nice and helpful. The place is run down and needs updating.

Shortcomings at LaQuinta

No one at desk to check in, breakfast was poor- no one monitors amount of food placed out, eggs full of water, sausage swims ( drowns) in grease, breakfast hours not enough for number of guests, lack of pride by staff. Can’t recommend this place.

No WiFi a disappointment

The room was spacious and everything was very clean. The furniture probably needed updating but as we were only staying for 1 night that wasn’t a problem but an observation. WiFi was apparently not working and was to be fixed in the evening but it wasn’t and therefore checking flights proved tricky. The general area around the hotel doesn’t look great but there was a cinema and shops about a 6 minute walk away. We discovered that too late. More advertising of nearby facilities would be good. For the price it was what we needed.

The room was very bad Blood stains on floor near the entrance to the room And in the center in front of the beds ,Stained and dirty floors in general ,toilet paper holder and towel bar torn away from the wall unable to hold items Droppings of and two actual bedbugs when mattress pad was lifted up on the bed closest to the wall Heavy mold smell and or chem smell in the room found anther hotel after 1.5 hours of looking and left. Was unable to rent car do to Expeidia ,called to say flight would be late 12:45 am the 10th and the agent on phone listed it as 1am the day before the the 9th both items cost me time and alot more money the likleyhood of using your service a again is slim

I went with my daughter to tour some colleges, so we did not need anything fancy. The hotel needs some renovation, its outdated, breakfast is terrible, but room size is good, comfortable, clean beds and good mattress. Parking is free which is a huge plus and 10 min walk from train station which hotel provides shuttle

Second time staying here but won't go back again even though the front desk staff is very friendly. One of the cheaper options in Cambridge/Somerville, but the price reflects the condition of the property and the amenities provided. If you're looking for a hotel with breakfast, skip this one. It's terrible and seating is limited in the confined room. Definitely not worth the amount they built-in to the nightly rate. The condition and cleanliness of the room was ridiculous. Dripping toilet, broken fan, dirty floors, cracked tiles, top of the tv cabinet was covered in dust, worn furniture, non-functioning wall thermostat, etc. And we arrived 2 hours before check-in, asked if any rooms were available yet, the answer was "yes" without any stipulations or other comments, then we were charge dfor early check-in.
