We stayed here for one night when visiting Salem in October so the price was very expensive to stay. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were pretty good, the one down fall with the room was the washroom - it needed some updating and serious tlc. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was decent. The pool was closed which we were slightly disappointed in but I would recommend staying here, as it was a good experience overall.

I had to wait at the front desk to check in while two employees were chatting about non work related things. I travel a lot and this is the first non city hotel that charges for parking. The room was ok but did look like it had been vacuumed in a while. There were crumbs throughout and a rather disgusting looking stain on the sofa. I won’t be staying here again.

The best part of staying here was Maya at the front desk. She was amazing through our entire stay. The first room we got was one with a dirty bathtub and she immediately changed our room. The next day there was no hot water and we had to take cold showers. Our last and final day our toilet over flowed into our room. Maya immediately came up with towels and let us use the room next door to shower. The hotel said they would compensate us for all the problems which was lovely. However, we are having a hard time with Expedia getting that refund. Many issues with Expedia for the booking.

When we entered the room, there was toothpaste splatter on the mirror from previous guest. The shower was dirty. There was hair in the bed not just a strand it was several strands of hair in the bed. Stains on the sheets did not seem clean. the breakfast was terrible. The scrambled eggs didn’t taste like real eggs. The sausage was slimy and warm undercooked the lemonade tasted like water. My daughter grabbed a chocolate milk and it was expired. I didn’t like that they charge $50 on my credit card before we even needed to my son came down and grabbed some water from the convenience Store. She asked for the room number and that’s all. So now anyone could go down take some things from the convenience store and give any room number than they wanted to, and they would never chec. the staff behind a desk were very polite and friendly.

Three strikes and you're OUT

Upon checking in I was informed that neither the Pool or the Whirlpool would be open for use due to construction. Being that this location was selected based on having both, I was very disappointed. Next was waking up in the morning to NO HOT WATER. I was informed that the boiler broke overnight, and it should be fixed "soon". After a long day of travel the prior day and a long day planned for that day, a hot shower was exactly what I needed and had thought would be included with my two night stay. The final straw was receiving a bill for parking which at no time was I notified that I would be charged to park my vehicle in an open lot. I will be following up with corporate and do not plan to ever book at this location again.
