There was no refrigerator in the room or bottles of water. We had to go out to get them at a close by 7-11. We only had 3 pillows on the bed. Had to call twice to request another pillow. There was construction happening in room nearby that woke us up early. Location was great.

I had no refrigerator in our room, and the AC was not working as expected, as no cool air was coming out. Housekeeping was a factor in this decision, as no communication was made, and their voicemail was full, making it harder to contact the front desk when they're busy with guests. Location was good, and that saved this review.

Not Impressed for the Price

Friendly staff. However, the A/C in the room was a floor unit that went out a hole in the window that was covered in plastic. Carpet was stained, lamps wobbly, headboards damaged, paint bubbling, wallpaper peeling, refrigerator and thermostat were not working. Expected more for $500 a night.

Unfortunately we experienced a few issues during our stay. First was room temperature issues- at night room got pretty cold, we had to layer up with a sweatshirt. Heater either didn’t work at all or was very weak. My sister eventually noticed it was most likely because the balcony door was not closing all the way. After noticing this and the fact it was going to storm the following day we attempted to call the front desk. We learned our room phone didn’t work. We called on our personal phones several times and there wasn’t any answer. After going downstairs and maintenance man came and fixed the door issue. After raining the following day, we did notice some dripping coming from another window. One elevator was down the entire trip. Some construction on the roof was happening during our visit, we were awoken by these sounds a few early mornings. It is a very convenient location with it so close to shopping, dining options and fairly close to public transportation. However I feel the location fee every day was too much. Note that being across from Quincy hall will mean listening to street drumming or music until late in the night.

I had such high hopes for this place, and on the outside (and lobby!) are gorgeous, the location is walking distance from a lot of cool places. It's nice to have valley (for almost $70 a day). Oh! And the bed was pretty comfy! That's where the anything nice to say ends. It is way too expensive for what it is. The ceiling was cracked and "patched" and it looked like they then wiped their caulk all over the walls in the bathroom. The complimentary toiletries were used and crusty. I paid for a mini fridge, and had to go back down to ask for it, plus the blanket I had requested. There's a mini bar and snack drawer that says you'll be charged for anything touched, but we're completely empty. When I tried to talk to the front desk about this she cut me off mid-sentence and told, "Yeah, we know." Talking about the front desk staff, they didn't seem to know what they were doing and certainly weren't friendly. When we went to check in, it was almost an hour ordeal since they seemed to not know how to check people in or something? One couple, while we were waiting, had been checked in, then a few minutes later returned saying there were still people in their room so the staff seemed to scramble. Also, the attached restaurant has high dining prices and not very good food. I got an almost 30 dollar burger which came with cheese (looked like Kraft single slice) we then watched the staff and the cook argue about whether or not it has cheese (it's not stated in the menu). Unknowledgeable.
Pretty vallet area where the vallet people will ignore you and continue texting until you get their attention.
Beautiful lobby below where they do construction at way too early in the morning.
Just below this photo is where they will do construction on the lower roof at ungodly hours in the morning.
Broken tub drain so this pregnant woman couldn't take advantage of this amenity.

This was a disappointing stay. We paid extra for a “upgraded room” although they are renovating and our mini fridge was falling apart. They offered another mini fridge after the fact. There is absolutely nothing “upgraded” about the room at all. Our balcony door handle was damaged upon arrival and I actually hurt my finger opening the door, I mentioned this to the front desk and hopefully it’s quickly fixed for the next guest. The hot water in the shower took an extensive amount of time to get to a comfortable temperature. Small roaches in the bathroom on the last night. Mediocre staff. We had to ASK for our room to be cleaned. We left early in the morning and came back late afternoon everyday to find our room untouched. Such a pricey hotel stay for mediocre Motel 8 standards. I spoke with the front desk and they applied $35 back to the bill. The rooms should be up to par with the amount of money people are paying. Look elsewhere!!!!

The staff is great, the area around the hotel is convenient and walkable. The conditions of the hotel are less than desirable. The rooms are very dated, and not well kept and in need of major upgrades. I would highly recommend staying somewhere else if you prefer a cleaner, updated hotel. If you have low expectations for overall upkeep then this hotel is fine.

Hotel was nice but the two night we stayed we had zero heat. It was not working 😕 The in room hairdryer was broke but was replaced. The walk out balcony doors had no weather strips on them. Cold air was pouring in. Lights we burned out in the bathroom. Had very high hopes.

It’s tired, the shower was stopped up and it took several requests to get it repaired. The location is excellent but the hotel desperately needs remodeling.

I would not recommend staying here. Hotel is in major need to upgrades. The pictures are not representative of the rooms. We had “king suite”. It was a normal hotel room with two sitting chairs, small (20 inch by 30 inch stand up shower), no view (window looked into a conference center about 10 feet away) and was dated (leak stains on ceiling ). Service was average and cleaning lady tried to come into our room while we were sleeping before 9am. All and all there must be better options… I would find them. Location was perfect.
