Horizons - Vain listattu tammikuuta 2020. 3 minuutin kävelymatka rannalle! Upea näköala merelle.

Tämä 150 vuotta vanha rannikkovartiosto tarjoaa upeat näkymät merelle, niemenalueelle ja satamaan. Aivan SW-rannikon polulla sijaitseva Horizons on vain 3 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä kahdesta upeasta rannasta (Little Perhaver ja Gorran Haven -rannat). Muut rannat (mukaan lukien Vault-ranta, elokuvasta “About Time”) ovat kävelymatkan päässä SW Coast -polkua pitkin.
Majoitus on järjestetty kahteen kerrokseen, puutarhoineen eteen ja taakse. Mökillä on etelään päin oleva terassi ja ihana terassi ja puutarha takana; täydellinen märkäpukujen kuivaamiseen päivän jälkeen rannalla. Kolme makuuhuonetta; kahden hengen, yhden ja yhden, Horizons nukkuu jopa 5 aikuista plus tilaa matkasängylle, joten se on ihanteellinen lomamökki perheille tai pariskunnille.
Viihtyisä, puisäteinen olohuone avautuu terassille, josta on upeat näkymät merelle ja niemenalueelle. Keittiö ja ruokailutila on varustettu kaikilla välineillä, ja siinä on pieni kodinhoitoalue, jossa on pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Kirjat, pelit, SKY Q -televisio, DVD-soitin, WIFI ja lokipoltin varmistavat, että voit nauttia kaikista kodin mukavuuksista loman aikana.
Gorran Haven on viehättävä kalastajakylä, jossa on kapeita katuja ja mukulakivikatuja; pohjimmiltaan Cornish kaikin tavoin! Kylässä on kala- ja sirukauppa, rantakahvila ja upea paikallinen myymälä (Cakebreads), elävän musiikin ja pizzayönä kesäkuukausina. Mevagissey, kukoistava satamakaupunki, on vain muutaman mailin ajomatkan päässä, tai ihanan luonnonkaunis kävelymatka, jos haluat, kuten Heliganin kadonneet puutarhat. Maailmankuulu Eden-projekti on vain 10 mailin päässä ja jos rakastat surffausta, Newquayn aallot saavutetaan 45 minuutissa.
Lemmikkiystävällinen. Holvin ranta (ja muut lähellä olevat) tervetuloa koiriin kaikkina vuodenaikoina; paikallinen ranta vaatii johtaa kesäkuukausina. Etu- ja takapuutarhat ovat yksityisiä, mutta niitä ei ole suljettu molemmilta puolilta.
Kuten monet muut kylän sydämessä sijaitsevat kiinteistöt, mökillä ei ole pysäköintialuetta. Gorran Havenilla on kuitenkin suuri parkkipaikka, jolla on hyvät viikkomaksut (ja vain miellyttävä 5 minuutin kävelymatka rannan ohi). Autoja voidaan ajaa kiinteistölle asti pudota tai noutaa.

Brilliant location, stunning views out over the harbour. We loved sitting in the garden each evening watching everyone jumping off the harbour wall into the sea! The cottage is just a short walk down to the beach. Despite being small Gorran Haven has everything you might need, Cafe, shop, bar and fish and chip shop. The cottage itself is lovely, completed to a high spec and well equipped with everything you might need. The hosts were really helpful, providing lots of helpful info ahead of our arrival. I was slightly worried about the lack of parking ahead of arrival but it wasn’t a problem at all. We managed fine loading and unloading with three small kids. Overall we had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

Ein wunderbares Ferienhaus – absolut empfehlenswert!Wir hatten eine rundum tolle Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Ausstattung lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen: alles ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und durchdacht gestaltet. Besonders positiv fanden wir den großzügigen Stauraum – man merkt, dass hier mitgedacht wurde, auch für Familien oder längere Aufenthalte.Die Lage ist einfach perfekt: ruhig gelegen, aber dennoch ist alles fußläufig erreichbar – Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, Freizeitangebote und schöne Spazierwege. So konnten wir das Auto auch mal stehen lassen und den Urlaub ganz entspannt genießen.Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Atmosphäre im Haus ist warm und einladend – man kommt rein und fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Auch die Kommunikation war freundlich, unkompliziert und zuverlässig.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder und können dieses Ferienhaus wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

A most comfortable and well equipped house with lovely gardens and sea views.It is superbly situated, being a short walk down to the beach, shop and cafés and with direct access to the coastal path.It is easy to stay here without a car and arrive by train, as we did. There is a good local taxi and a community bus you can book on line to various local places like Heligan.The communication with the owner was excellent throughout.We can’t wait to return.

Beautiful cottage and location

We stayed at Coastguard Cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. The location is stunning and the cottage has incredible sea views. It’s also extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owners were fantastic, providing very helpful information both on places to visit and restaurant and pub recommendations. They were also very quick to respond to any questions we had both before and whilst staying at the cottage. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to return again for another relaxing break soon!

Einer unserer schönsten Urlaube

Wir verbrachten 2 herrliche Wochen im Cottage „Little Gwyn“ in Gorran Haven. Das Cottage war wunderbar und ist jederzeit zu empfehlen, der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wirklich schön.Es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Auch als Ausgangsbasis zu anderen Zielen in Cornwall liegt Gorran Haven günstig. Und besonders nett war unser Kontakt mit unseren Gastgebern Rebecca und Michael. Wir wurden immer auf dem neuesten Stand gehalten und bekamen sehr viele Tipps zum Thema Ausflugsziele, Essen gehen, Einkaufen usw. Dafür nochmals vielen herzlichen Dank an die Zwei. Ein wirklich gelungener Urlaub in Cornwall und es wird nicht unser letzter sein. Thomas und Simone

A beautiful beach is just a 2 min walk away. It is dog friendly, our dog loved it. A fish and chip shop. A couple of shops selling Cornish ice creams. Right next to the coastal path also 5min drive from lost gardens of Heligan. Can’t recommend this place enough. A truly relaxing holiday.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location - near the beach

My husband and I spent a lovely week in coastguard cottage with Billy our dog. It's a gorgeous cottage, very cosy and with everything you need. It was spotless, and had a clean modern feel, but maintained the quirky old cottage feel. Fab location, (you get used to going up and down the hill!) but it's worth the walk up as you get a gorgeous view of the sea, which you can see from the patio and some of the downstairs area. We enjoyed sitting on the patio with a pasty, or cream tea! You can see the sunrise from the (v.comfy) bed in main bedroom Weather was superb, we had Little Perhaven beach to ourselves some days-swimming and paddleboarding! There are lovely walks direct from the house - to Mevagissey and Hemmick beach in the other direction, If you want to do more, then there are things to do in surrounding towns etc, but we stayed local. We recommend the Haven Chippy, had a lovely fish and chips, salt and pepper squid and 'Haven Stack' burger! We had a fab Sunday lunch at The Crown in St Ewe. It's a short 12 min drive, but the food was delicious and we went twice more during the week. They welcome dogs too :-) Also visit Cakebreads, such friendly people and interesting place! If you haven't watched the film "About Time' do so, and take a walk to Vault Beach as that is where the beach scenes were filmed! It's already a fav film of ours and so fab to watch again when we were there. All in all a lovely week. Would highly recommend! Thanks Michael and Rebecca.

Simply perfect!

An incredibly comfortable, stylish and brilliantly located cottage with the best of hosts. Walking on your doorstep, seaviews from the terrace, swimming minutes away on the best of dog friendly beaches, fantastic pasties from the local shop Cake breads and the most delicious fish and chips opposite, enjoy!

Beautiful position and view, excellent for walking south west coastal path with far reaching dramatic coastline, choice of three beach's, really didn't need to go far for an adventure. The property was lovely had everything needed for self catering, and best of all the dogs were made welcome with dog bowls and towels avaliable such a wonderful stay, needed the exercise, brilliant.

A comfortable and cosy cottage in a quiet location

One could not criticize the facilities, cleanliness or support from the owner of Little Gwyn. The house is attractively decorated and the furnishings were of a good standard. The views of the harbour and sea from the lounge and principal bedroom are truly lovely. The house is equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed a comfortable week with no problems. Two of us and our dog had plenty of space but the property might be crowded if there were five people trying to use the two sofas and small single bathroom. The only drawback is that there is no adjacent parking space -which we knew in advance - although one can load and unload outside the property. However the car park is down in the village and, though it may only be 5 minutes down the hill, it was considerably more than that for us walking back uphill to the cottage. This was an inconvenience rather than a problem, but could be an issue for people with mobility difficulties or more mature dogs like ours. The village itself was very pleasant and we do not recall many places with such friendly and helpful residents. Everyone we met was happy to chat and offer advice on where to walk, shop or visit. All in all we had a lovely, relaxing holiday, being fortunate with the weather which was largely warm an bright, and we thank Michael and Rebecca for their assistance, support and advice.
