I like that this hotel was close to the train station and St George’s hall which was where I was working. The room was semi clean, some parts were a little dusty and the bath tub was a little rusty. The shower wasn’t hot enough for my preference. My room was directly in front of the station so I could hear the hooting and hollering from people going on the night out, but this didn’t prevent me from sleeping. The room was warm and bed was cozy. The staff were great, to the point that they were kind enough to give me a bag of ice for my twisted ankle.

I stayed 2 nights, separate bookings. I arrived to find the lift out of service. It was still out of service today when I left today. This is unacceptable in a 4 floor hotel. Especially when I had to change my 2nd floor room after the first night as the bathroom was virtually unusable and outside very noisy. So just to make things worse I was given a 4th floor room! Still no lift! I'm 70 with a recently fitted pacemaker. Not recommended! Even staff I passed on the stairs looked exhausted! But at least I received an acceptable room. All the staff were very nice, especially Lora on reception. The lounge bar is impressive but bit soulless as few people around. Wonder why? I would think twice before staying here again.

The VIP Access allowed me free self-parking as well as an upgrade from Junior Penthouse to Penthouse which was a lovely bonus. The place was easy to find and park. There was no need to drive anywhere for dining as there were plenty of options all within 5-10 minutes walking distance. The penthouse itself was a magnificent space which we thoroughly enjoyed staying in. The major letdown was that the one and only elevator was out of use leading to a climb of 4 flights of stairs which left this middle-aged couple quite out of breath especially as my wife is asthmatic. That was probably the main factor as to why it is not a 5 star review. Shower was great, bed was comfy and the breakfast was more than adequate. I would definitely stay here again (as long as the lift is fixed)

It was very central for seeing Bradford ,within walking distance of what we wanted to visit.updates could be made like new carpets in the bedrooms and new art or floral displays in the corridors would lift these areas.As rather gloomy.

Amazing
