We've been many times to the shop. And every time has been enjoyable. Our only disappointment was Winston Churchill s chair has been removed. It certainly added to the hist of this hotel.

This hotel is very old the staff were miserable at check in and at breakfast. We have stayed here a few times and you never get hot water when turning the shower on. The drinks at the bar are very expensive. Overall the place badly needs a refurbishment.

Location is great very close to the train station and the beach.Spectacular view from the room,bed was very comfortable.But the hotel is very dated,need a refurbishment,carpet was stained,window was dirty,no hot water,Tv didnt work,breakfast was very bad quality and tasteless.I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Very poor

Terrible the hotel has gone down hill. Very grubby and as for the breakfast was shocking . The staff in the breakfast area was the most miserable people i have ever met. Only asked for some more eggs and all you got was there on its way shocking.

Although the hotel does need a certain amount of up-dating we found the staff to be friendly and accommodating - especially to our little dachshund,and the breakfast to be excellent. Dave, who helped us with our luggage on arrival, could not have done more. We were sorry it was his day off when we departed as there was nobody on duty that day.

Great location. Good value for money, very reasonably priced for such a centrally located hotel. Nicely furnished and laid out communal areas. Good range of breakfast choices of good quality. Upper floors could do with a refresh (decorating) and our room was very warm (did find what looked like a heating / cooling fan in the wardrobe as we left which could have helped!) and slightly dated and tired but all that is forgiven somewhat because of the price paid. Would stay again.

An ok functional hotel.

The hotel is quite dated but functional. Breakfast was ok, but replenishing of menu items was slower than expected for a facility of that size. They should add mushrooms to the breakfast menu. It was a warm weekend and the fan in the room didn't work. View from the room overlooking the pier was magnificent. Staff courteous, friendly and helpful. A good location. I would stay again.
