We booked through Expedia and was advised we could pay at the property. The first staff member I encountered who rang me, was rude and abrupt stating my card had declined and I needed to pay before 2pm or they would cancel my booking. They wanted payment otherwise they would sell my room to someone else. I had to get a family member to sort it out who contacted them as I have a disability and was very stressed about it all and staff member stated they would accept payment at the property. Still abrupt but easier to deal with.
I understand that they had people cancel on them but please do not judge everyone the same. Speak to customers nicely, if you needed payment at the time of booking then please advise Expedia or the customer. Don’t threaten them with cancellation.
On another note hotel was lovely, clean and accessible. Enjoyed our stay apart from check in.
