Very good except for the useless checkin machines.

Large room. Clean. Need to get rid of the automated check in counter - the touchpad was not responsive. Too slow & clunky. Asked too many silly questions. Super useless - hence the lowe star on service.

Good hotel with some polishing of service required

Comfortable room with good amenities. Generally clean apart from at breakfast when there were a lot of tables that hadn’t been cleared, which gave it the feel of not being as clean as it could be. Good at breakfast was good, but lack of glasses, cutlery, etc wash frustrating.

Excellent self service check in and room allocation via email beforehand. Getting the room card activated was self service and easy as was the check out by email. The hotel is central to Bristol. As such we did not drink or dine at the hotel

Good location; friendly staff; generous-sized room; cleanliness. The interior of the hotel is new and easy to maneuver, but entrance has several sets of steps. Saw elderly people and people with mobility issues struggling to conquer the steps, especially with luggage and no hand rails. Not accessible for wheel chair users.

Our stay at the Clayton Hotel was extremely pleasant. The staff at reception kindly checked us in an hour before the actual check-in time, and we also received a discount on parking from the hotel. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, we couldn't ask for more. Thank you Clayton Hotel!

Good, not great!

Happy with the stay, but the hotel is showing some wear! Comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms, working amenities and nice staff. We did avoid the breakfast, as I’d read some reviews to say it’s not worth it, especially with so many eateries to choose from in Bristol. It looked ok, from what I saw. The main complaint is the size of the bed! It must have been a double, and we are not used to being so snug, no room to move! I’ve never been in a double bed in a hotel before, and it was a real shock, especially because we had another random single bed in the room too! Overall, good stay, but some niggles, definitely not a true 4* - needs a lick of paint and a bit of refreshing!

Located in the heart of the old town, great location. Room is on the small side, but new and modern. However, coffee pods and cotton pads were not refilled during housekeeping (When we called the front desk the hotel staff was kind enough to bring new coffee pods to the room). No complimentary drinking water supplied. Staff were lovely, but overall the amenity side felt like a budget hotel.
