The room was very tired looking. There was no hot water to have a shower Badly in need of a refurb. On check in asked to pay again, not particularly a friendly welcome.

Very pleased with my stay, the Gentleman at the reception was extremely welcoming - shame I didn't ask his name, but he was very kind and helpful, even though I arrived at midnight he gave me all the information about the hotel and showed me where my room was. He also stayed for another couple of minutes to make sure my card key is working and I'm in the room, safe and sound. Thank you!

Lovely venue and historical features are fabulous. Heating an issue - in cold for a few hours in a really icy spell outside (Room 29) but working with Amy she mended the boiler after a while and room warmed up from 9pm onwards. Amy was very helpful - thank you. Breakfast was good and staff really helpful.

One of the bath towel's had dirty marks on. One of the hand towels had a hole in. Drinks order wasn't taken in restaurant; had to go to bar to place order there. Restaurant wasn't busy, 5 tables in total. Food was lovely though & wasn't waiting long after ordering for food to arrive.

The stay was ok. But the ladt night we stayed we was not allowed to park on the car park meaning we had to park over a mile away and walk. This was a challenge when leaving the following day when we had ti carry our luggage a mile down the road. This was due to having a party on. So please when you are booking ask about parking as this was not good enough speciall when it was terencial rain. They didnt even say sorry. We booked this over 5 months in advance. Woman on recepection couldnt have cared less. Breakfast was not worth paying for.

Key card didn't work on arrival so had to return to reception which was very annoying My room was on the second floor the lift would only go to the first floor so had to use the stairs with my luggage several times and it was like that for the duration of my stay. The television in my room had no remote so I couldn't use it reported it straight away and the next day and again when I checked out I hope the next guest fairs better than I did Couldn't leave curtains open in my room there was a ladder outside the window.
