The Peppercorn Shack

Welcome, Nestled behind the low hanging branches of the peppercorn trees is this cute and cozy one bedroom unit.

Australian themed it is ideally suited for singles or couples. However, creative use of the limited space means it can sleep a small family.

Located a short 5-minute drive from Kingscote Town Centre, the Peppercorn Shack is in a quiet spot with the beach only one street away.

Whether it is a short stay or extended getaway, The Peppercorn Shack will be your home away from home.

The unit features a fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooktop, oven, full-size fridge, microwave, and renovated bathroom.

A securely fenced yard makes a safe place for your furry-family to stay while you explore the island (request only with conditions, fees, and charges applicable)

As I do not live on the island and utilise the unit as our own family escape, I am not available in person. You can always safely message me via this site.

A dedicated driveway/carpark is immediately next to the unit on the outside wall. There is also an additional spot available in the rear of the property.
Parking in front of the unit is not permitted.

Fancy throwing `shrimp on the barbie?` A small 2 burner BBQ is available for a small fee.
Pets allowed upon request only and additional fees apply.

Perfect base camp for one or small family

Very clean tidy ,Air-conditioned was a bonus nuce and warm. Comfortable bed fir a small unit it had all you need to have a good base to see the island.

Does the job.

It is a small, compact unit. Really only good for 2 people as a base for day trips. The bed was comfortable enough. However, the "lounge suite" is actually a single bed with cushions on it - not very comfortable for watching TV / movies. Be aware that it is a part of a block of flats and that a cleaning fee is charged regardless of how clean you leave the place, and this is on top of the rental price.

Convenient cheap stay

Very economical, but in the midst of upgrading the unit & fencing yard as pet friendly place. Good base to visit places so had a lovely time checking a lot of sight seeing places.

Humble but Convenient

Old style unit but had everything we needed. Thanks for lots of many thoughtful little things. Leg of the bed on the wall side needs padding. I wrapped a towel around it to prevent further pain to my toe! Owner/property manager was very good at responding to emails. It would have been even better if we had been told when to expect the entry code, as Stayz had informed us we would be given the access code and details on March 20th and we did not get it until March 22nd, the night before our stay. As this was our first experience of Stayz, we were a bit on edge about how it worked.

Disappointed

Place wasn’t clean, bedroom window didn’t lock and has mould around window sill. Bathroom window had no fly screen, so when open for shower mozzies came in. No working smoke alarm. Very disappointed.

Had a wonderful stay!

It was our first time in Ki and Bec's property was a perfect base for us! The property is perfect for a small family. It has all the needed amenities. We were able to cook without issue at all. zbec had personal touches which made our stay more enjoyable. We'd love to be back again next time.
