Great hiking! terrific service in spite of the shut down and limitations. We appreciated everyone’s good humor and hard work.
Only con - the bed in Historic cabin 1 is so old and soft it was a terrible sleep.

Many trails around the property were closed due to construction which was not mentioned on the website. Sunset Terrace rooms are outdated but convenient. Beds are comfortable. Area claimed to be an International Dark Sky Park but there was way too much ambient lighting around sidewalks and street lamps and parking lot lights.
You can't beat this for convenience since you're right in the center of the park and very near the visitor center and lodge restaurants. However, the condition of the cabin left a little to be desired, with peeling paint and questionable alignment of the door lock. It should also be noted that parking was a short walk away. But all things considered, we would stay here again.
Although, we stayed in the older property, the bed was comfortable and we appreciated having a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The room was clean, but the bathroom needed some remodeling.

Simple and friendly
Rustic and lovely.
Cell service is very spotty.
Not a problem if you stay at the lodge but it causes problems if you venture into one of the nearby towns for meals (their onsite restaurant is not very good.) or if you’re planning on hiking the back country.
Therehas been some work done so the yards around the cabins are all torn up and not safe. They seem to be more focused on the new expensive cabins by the lodge than anything else.
Clean so close to the airport
Restaurant very convent.
Front staff person was awesome

Check in took 30 minutes because only 1 staff was checking in and they were out doing some kind of maintenance at 6pm. We’re not informed of lack of internet access where we were staying. Peeling paint in the cabin.

It’s steps away from the Mammoth Caves NP visitor center, which is fantastic! We got a room in the Sunset Terrace - the size was good, but very dated, specially the bathroom.
Lots of food options at the Lodge, and the major trailheads are either walkable or really short drive.
