The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet was badly stained and old in both rooms we rented. Towels were terrible and smelled sour. Yuk!

The family room which is the biggest room that they have only have one full bed and the rest is just one couch that’s very unconfortable. Beside that, the place is very nice and clean. Amazing staff and the breakfast is delicious.

A wonderful, low-key hotel on the Buda side of Budapest, with easy access to the Castle, river cruises, and the Chain Bridge. The bed was super comfy, and the staff was wonderful. Breakfast was included and it was great, with a good selection. Highly recommend!

It’s a 3 star hotel for a reason. You get what you pay for. However, little things like only having one mug in the room by the coffee machine and such small towels could push the rating lower. Even in a 3 star I expect decent size towels and mugs/glasses.

Very good location with lovely staff! The room was huge and nicely decorated, with great transport links nearby and walkable to some sights too. Only complaints are that the towels are very small, bathroom and room had some signs of wear and tear such as a carpet stain and worn/coloured seal in shower. Decent breakfast options in a nice venue too.

The Monastery Hotel great location, easy access to Public Transportation and Tour Buses - The Hotel Personnel were helpful, Courteous, very polite - The rooms very clean. The Hotel personnel we spoke with didn’t have knowledge of the area, nor maps on hand of the city to give / they lacked extreme knowledge of Budapest especially for first time visitors they were no help. We opt for Breakfast at the hotel - there seemed to be no thought putting the breakfast together, I say this because each morning the breakfast was the same each day, even leftovers were served - once a new addition was added Bake beans in tomato sauce. I tried to asking for a poached egg, the personnel refused pointed to an already boil egg previously prepared. I noticed on previous reviews about the same old breakfast served each day, my thinking if the hotel is aware of this compliant but still haven’t changed anything about the breakfast what does that say about the hotel management, why give a review, why respond with a Thank you but do nothing to change the breakfast menu?

Very friendly, great location. The only drawback was that the mirror in the bathroom was behind the toilet and above a high ledge. My wife struggled to get ready. Very minor overall and we would stay there again!

Great location w easy access/walking distance to Fisherman's Bastion, St. Matthias Cathedral, Buda Castle, the Danube promanade (w terrific views of the Hungarian Parliament Building) and the Chain Bridge. 1 block from the public trams and busses and a 0.4 mile walk to the Metro. We do walk a lot, so the location was excellent for us. We also used all forms of public transport!
