Queen Zita Apartment, 130 m2, near Chain Bridge / Parliament / Basilica

A calm oasis just a few steps from the river, from globetrotter owners who know what guests are looking for when they travel. All guests love our duplex apartment, this is a genuine 'home away from home'. In fact, we used to live here when our kids were still toddlers.
The apartment can comfortably sleep 5 people + 1 baby.
The aparment is on the 4th (top) floor, easily accessible by elevator. The building (from about 1870, fully renovated in 1990) has a nice inner courtyard and a beautiful staircase.


PRIME LOCATION: Three major landmarks are within a 5-6 minute walk: the Parliament, the Chain Bridge, and the Basilica, The apartment is just one block away from the Danube river. Perhaps the most iconic view of the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge is just 100 meters away. The famous 'shoes' monument is also a short walk away. Also within 5 minutes are dozens of restaurants and 4 supermarkets.
Within 15 minutes you can get to Buda Castle (bus 16), the Central Market Hall (tram 2), the Synagogue (metro 2), or even to the entrance of Margaret Island (tram 2 + walk).

WELL-EQUIPPED APARTMENT: We have a large and well-equipped kitchen, with many appliances: gas stove, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge + freezer, iron + ironing board, dishwasher, washing machine, drying lines, Nespresso machine, toaster. Pots and pans, including a wok.
Basic supplies such as cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar, pasta, muesli, teabags, cocoa powder, and more. Feel free to use any of these, then replenish stocks from the supermarket.
Spacious dining area in the same space as the kitchen, with 6 chairs.
Large living room with a sofa + 2 armchairs. Plenty of books, including some guidebooks. Board games. TV set.
Also on the lower floor there's a small toilet.

UPPER FLOOR: You can reach the upper floor by stairs. No fence, sorry.
Two spacious bedrooms on the upper floor. All skylights (roof windows) can be fully darkened. The apartment is very quiet. The only 'noise' you may hear is some birds in the morning. Air-conditioning in both bedrooms (and the living room on the lower floor).
The bathroom is between the two bedrooms. Large tub with a shower.
There's a storage room opposite the bathroom, where you can find additional towels, bed linen, pillows, pillow cases, blankets, etc. There's also a place for hanging clothes here.

CHILD-FRIENDLY: We have a portable baby bed that we can put up in either of the bedrooms. Baby towel with a hood. Blankets/duvets with boy/girl themes.
We have a potty and a training toilet seat. In the dining area, we have a high chair, as well as a small table with two small chairs for toddlers. Some toys for various ages.
Please note that there's no safety fence on the top of the stairs.

FRIENDLY HOST: The owner Csaba likes to welcome the guests in person. Having travelled extensively, he also speaks a few languages. Most importantly, we have a useful pdf guide that we send to each guest before arrival: this has information about public transport, parking, nearby supermarkets and restaurants, etc.
