Lovely listed buliding,landlord was a drunk who got very argumentive with my partner and myself he could not find our booking then when he did he ran down the stairs and gave us key number 6 we thought he upgraded us,on our return from bude our stuff was moved to room 1.My partner asked for left items in room 6 he started shouting at my partner why do you have key to room 6 we told him you gave us the key he said no i didnt.

We are working very long hours here and you arrived 5 hours early without notice. We both agreed that e-bookers had failed to send a comfirmation email, however, it was soon sorted out and you were shown to your room. You were not offered an upgrade and dumped all of your stuff in a pristine room which had to be cleaned again for the guests who arrived later and were thankfully very undertsanding.

A brilliant host with a wonderful welcome. A truly incredible ancient property that if you're into History, it's a must visit, Simon(the brilliant host)very knowledgeable about all of it. Amazing value break for us ,we will most definitely return. Thank you , James and Fiona Hunt
