The Space:

Welcome to The Bear's Den, a secluded mountain retreat nestled among the piñon pines on the north side of Buena Vista. Surrounded by nature and thoughtfully decorated with charming bear-themed touches throughout, this cozy home captures the spirit of Colorado mountain living while offering all the comforts of home.



Tucked away in a peaceful setting, The Bear's Den provides the perfect balance of privacy and convenience—just minutes from downtown Buena Vista, world-class hiking, rafting, hot springs, and year-round outdoor adventure.



This spacious single-level home features three comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, and small groups. The primary suite includes a large ensuite bathroom, creating a private retreat after a day spent exploring the Rockies.



Inside, you'll find inviting spaces designed for gathering and relaxation. Curl up by the gas potbelly stove in the living room, share meals in the dining room or dine-in kitchen, or settle into the sunroom with a book while enjoying views of the surrounding trees. A dedicated laundry room makes longer stays easy and convenient.



Step outside onto the expansive front porch and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Grill dinner, gather around the outdoor dining table, and listen to the breeze moving through the piñon pines. Please note this house, like most mountain homes, does not have AC and does not allow parties.

Guests access the home through a smart lock and a unique code that will be emailed to them 2 days before arrival.

Like many homes in Buena Vista and other Colorado mountain towns, this home does not have air conditioning. However, temperatures in the mountains cool significantly in the evenings. Simply open a few windows and turn on fans to quickly cool the space and enjoy the fresh mountain air.



This is a pet friendly home. Please pick up after your pet & keep them off furniture. Please indicate on your reservation that you'll be bringing a pet and a one time pet fee will be added to your reservation total.



Keep an eye out for the bears—not the real ones, but the playful bear-themed décor that gives The Bear's Den its unique mountain character.
