Originally a copper miner`s cottage it was is named after Sir Henry Ayers, the Chairman of the South Australian Mining Association who owned the massive copper mine. He was also Premier of South Australia and they named a rock after him as well!
The Cottage is great for a romantic couple getaway or for 2 couples wanting quaint accommodation to explore the historic town of Burra.
The lounge room has a flat screen TV and DVD and a great slow combustion log fire. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a separate dining room with a bookcase full of old books. you will love to explore.
The cottage includes Laundry facilities and large bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside there is a large front garden, outdoor verandah areas and Gas BBQ.
Your cottage is located within a short walking distance of White Cedars Balinese style restaurant or St Just Cafe for the best coffee. Ayers cottage is the perfect place to stay as you immerse yourself in the history and charm of Burra and surrounds.
We provide a door code for access to the cottage the morning of check in.

Important note: A security bond will be required for your stay. The bond will be refunded in full within 7 days of checkout, subject to the property being left in good condition.
