Ground Level: As you arrive, you'll find everything you need for a stress-free stay. There's parking for up to four vehicles, a dedicated laundry room, and an outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The spacious yard offers room to relax, stretch out in the hammock, or fire up the charcoal grill for an evening cookout. You'll also have access to an on-site EV charger, making it easy to power up your vehicle during your stay. For those eager to get on the water, there's direct sound access and a private deep-water boat slip, ideal for launching kayaks, paddleboards, or setting off on a boating adventure right from your backyard.

Single Level: Inside, you'll be greeted by a bright, open-concept living space filled with natural light and relaxed coastal charm. The living area offers comfortable seating, a Smart TV for movie nights, and a small desk—perfect for planning your day or catching up on emails. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to whip up your favorite meals, including your fresh catch of the day. On the kitchen table, you'll also find a convenient charging station and instant Wi-Fi connection, making it easy for guests to plug in and get online when they arrive. The dining area seats eight, creating the perfect spot for shared meals and evening conversations. Just outside, the covered porch and sundeck offer peaceful canal views and a peaceful soundside setting.

The home offers 4 thoughtfully designed bedrooms to ensure a restful and relaxing stay. Bedrooms 1 and 2 each feature a cozy queen bed and scenic views of the sound—perfect for waking up to peaceful water vistas. These two rooms share a spacious full bathroom just steps away. Bedroom 3, furnished with a twin bunk bed and a Smart TV, is a great option for kids or extra guests. Bedroom 4 also includes a queen bed and Smart TV, and shares a second full bathroom conveniently located off the hallway.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds, and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds, in which case, the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

What a view

The location of this property was by far the best. Sunrise on one side of house and sunset on the other. Just enough space for our family. Linens provided and beds made when we got there was a nice feature. Only thing lacking was a blender for frozen drinks but we managed. We loved this property so much we already have it saved for next year!

Peaceful coastal views

We enjoyed the tranquil views of Pamlico Sound from the two porches of this house. At sunrise and sunset we saw coastal birds and fish jumping. It was beautiful. We also loved being close to the National seashore and walks in the woods and on the beach. The house is comfortable and we’ll equipped. We wished there were screens on the windows.

Overall great little place, private location, amazing sunsets, the only complaint we had was the cleanliness of the house, the floors had not been cleaned we found diet pills under the sofas with wrappers , the trash was stuck to floor with syrup and the pots and pans definitely needed a wash before use . We did email and ask for early check in and was accommodated , early check in was 3.

Channel House

This is a somewhat old fashioned shore home. It is pet friendly and three of us sneezed and had watery eyes the entire time. There is a black cat who acts as a welcoming committee and he will beg for food all week. Outside of the allergic reactions we had a great time

Relaxing in Paradise

Channel house is amazing. Our family took everything in that the house and the area of the Outer Banks had to offer. The house is very clean, from the comfy beds to the beautiful decks, you will not be disappointed with your visit. The sunrises and sunsets over the water are breathtaking. There is also a slip for a kayak for the sound if you bring one or rent it locally. Our family would love to visit again some day!

Oasis by the water

If you are a person that needs to see water to cleanse the soul, then this is your spot! Tranquil, serene, peaceful, even in 20 to 30 mph winds. Channel house is welcoming, quaint and it was super clean! Yes she's a bit worn around the edges, but aren't we all? To my dad and I this gem was exaclty what our souls needed. Every morning, but one, on the deck for sunrise and coffee and every evening on the other deck for sunset and cocktail. Also enjoyed watching the marina come to life as the boat owners scurried to get their boats ready for spring! PERFECT! THANK YOU CHANNEL HOUSE!

Much needed vaca

Clean for the most part other than a few dishes that were put back dirty and the two of the spare bed sheets had some dog hair. Needs to be sprayed for ants and screens in the windows would be great so you could open windows without the bugs coming in. But overall would stay again.

The Channel House

nice get-a-way

this place sits behind a boatyard. they didn't have many boats coming through. so it was nice and quite. the view of the sound was great. it was close to beaches, and places to eat. Like all places in the outerbanks if you can't climb stairs this place is not for you. We had no problems with anything in the house. Only thing guest need to be aware of is the bathroom supplies are just to get you started. only thing I would have liked more is to have screens in the windows so we could have enjoyed the fresh air at night. i do recommend this place. I look forward to coming back

Great Getaway

This is the perfect spot for getting away from it all. The house was great for my wife and me and our two dogs over a two-week stay. The location (at the end of a jetty just off the main road) was perfect. There are no other houses around, just the boatyard behind the house. The boatyard was public and started business very early in the morning, although the people there generally kept their distance. There is also an unoccupied jetty next door, and we saw people fishing from there at all hours of the day and night. Also, be aware that there are very bright lights all around that flash and blink and can be an irritant. There are buoys, towers, and a sports stadium nearby, which all have bright lights that shone into our windows at night. On the plus side, we saw plenty of birds and great sunsets, and had an unobstructed view of the sound from all angles. The one maintenance issue that did come up was addressed immediately by Shore Details, and they were very accommodating around our concerns of being disturbed and disturbing our pets. Overall a great experience, with a single star knocked off the total review because of the maintenance issue, the bright lights, and the public boatyard. We would stay here again.
