Our vacation started off with what seemed like a nice upgrade — we were offered an oceanfront suite at the Rose Resort for an extra $65 a night. Unfortunately, it quickly turned into a frustrating experience. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor — a mix of dirty mop water, mildew, and mold — and was located directly next to a construction site at the neighboring resort, so we were subjected to nonstop hammering and drilling. While the view was beautiful, the stay was miserable. We reported the issue to the front desk early on, and they allowed us to check out another room. Sadly, it had the same musty, damp smell. Eventually, we were offered the option to transfer to their sister property, the Sunset Resort. We took a taxi to check it out (since the hourly shuttle was fully booked) and found it to be a much cleaner, more modern resort. The front desk staff at Sunset were helpful, but informed us we’d need to go back to Rose to coordinate the transfer. Back at Rose, we spoke to the supervisor, Maria, who told us we wouldn’t be able to transfer until the next day and to come back at 9 a.m. We ended up spending most of that night outside on a chaise lounge because of the smell — uncomfortable and unpleasant, especially when the construction noise started again promptly at 8 a.m. At 9 a.m. we returned to the front desk and were thankfully able to transfer to Sunset. Sunset Resort was a much better experience overall — clean, beautiful, and peaceful. However, there were a fe

Our experience at this property was underwhelming. The overall condition felt dated, and unfortunately, the beds were quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to rest well during our stay. We opted for the all-inclusive package, but were disappointed with the lack of guidance upon arrival — no map of the property was provided, and no one informed us where to find the restaurants or amenities. It felt disorganized, and we weren’t greeted or offered any assistance with our luggage. The check-in process felt more like being herded through a system than welcomed as guests. Food options were limited to the main buffet (which we discovered opened at 8 a.m. each morning), poolside delivery, room service, and a small deli/store. While these options were convenient enough, there was little variety and no clear communication about what else, if anything, was available. Overall, this stay didn’t meet expectations, especially for an all-inclusive experience. There’s potential here, but the property would benefit greatly from better hospitality, clearer guest communication, and some much-needed updates.

I’d like to start saying our stay overall was good. The food was good, their buffets had limited options but they had multiple restaurants to choose from. The property itself was older and a bit outdated but you could tell the staff was working all day to keep things clean and organized. The beach was beautiful as well. However, there were a few things we weren’t aware of until we arrive worth mentioning. 1. Was our all inclusive stay had a few restaurants that weren’t included and had an additional cost if we chose to eat there. 2. Some specific drink and special meals were also not included usually they will tell you there is an additional cost, however we had one encounter where we were only told about additional cost of a bottle of wine after it was poured. So those are just a few things to keep in mind if you do the all inclusive. However the staff was very nice, service is usually slow, in general it’s a slower paced resort but the staff was always nice.

This was our 3rd stay at the Rose and our last. Since 2017 it went downhill. Quality of food , Cleanliness. Un Friendly staff. Pool area was dirty. Our room closet smelled like queso. Room was just old and musty.

The beds were hard. If you have never been to Cabo then you may like it because it is on a swimmable beach. Not a lot of restaurants in Blanco or Rose’. The Blanco had 2 great restaurants. The Rose had mostly buffets. Go early so you don’t have the kids and parents grabbing food with their hands. They need to be a little clearer on what meal is a buffet and what is a menu. Not all choices were clear.
