Wonderful home

Beautiful home with a superb beach location. The host was very responsive to our questions. Property is away from the hustle and bustle of the city which made it very relaxing. We had all our meals prepared by Kimberly and her staff. Food was excellent and plentiful. No one left the table hungry. It was the perfect decision to have all our meals at the house with Kimberly. Highly recommend.

Even better than expected

Our stay exceeded expectations. Unbeatable location is an understatement. The beach was incredible. The house was clean and well stocked. Everything functioned perfectly. The staff was attentive and cordial. We felt safe. Host was accomodating to questions and requests. The house dog was a heartwarming touch. Already contemplating a second stay.

Even better than the first time!

We stayed at Villa Olivia 17 years ago as a single family and it was paradise! Our second visit as a multi family was even better! The pool and AC in the kitchen/living room made our 7 days vacation perfect. All personnel was amazing, like the last time, very attentive to our grand kids and they were always telling us know when the German bakery truck was coming by. We had amazing waves for surfing and as usual spectacular sunsets! We dream to return again... Thank you to the Gordon family for sharing this beautiful house with us!

Great location right on the beach. Leanna and Kimberly were amazing hosts and so responsive to our needs. We were surprised that room cleaning and towel replacement was another 20 each cleaning but it was easy to simply decline that service. No TP in toilets so you must throw dirty TP in the garbage cans which means a cleaning is needed every few days. Def recommend having groceries stocked for you. . throw

Amazing

We had the absolute best time at Villa Olivia. We had a group of friends for a 40th birthday trip and we all enjoyed our time here. The beach is incredible and morning walks are just beautiful. The sunsets from even the back patio are incredible, less yet out on the beach. We rented surf boards for surging and had a blast. We lounged in the pool after coming in from excursions. Restaurants were just a short walk down the road or the beach, so we took advantage of those. Kimberley cooked dinner for us one night and breakfast one morning and it was so delicious- everyone in our group was so impressed! The watchdog Morena was such a joy to have around, you can tell she is well loved by everyone! Can’t wait to bring my kids with us here next time, they will love this place as much as we did.

Perfect place to vacation

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Olivia. We loved that it was a little secluded but also had great places to eat in walking distance. We loved the staff and the cooks were AMAZING! They were welcoming and friendly. Also one of our favorites was the watchdog who we loved on each day and she would stay right with us. For our first time out of the country(other than a cruise) this exceeded our expectations. We would definitely rent again. It has everything u could need. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.

Great place for a family reunion

Property is just as described; pool and ocean were essential for beating the Guanacaste 96 degree Fahrenheit heat. Beach has great surf, too rough for the littlest kids and oldest folks but perfect for everyone in the middle to play in. Took a while to figure out where to get groceries and recommend stocking up in Liberia before you head down the coast. Listing is clear that boogie boards are available to rent from the house, wish they were included!

Amazing Relaxing Private House

Super awesome stay. House was great. AC and private bathrooms with showers in each room were key for the family we had in the house (10 total). Kimberley the housekeeper has a service where she'll cook meals for the household and they were soooooo good. Highly recommend having her make a few meals for your stay. Area was safe, private and relaxing. Easy to get to and exceeded all expectations.

Amazing Ocean Stay!!

Our family of 11 enjoyed our week long stay at Villa Olivia! The ocean views from the house are amazing and we watched the incredible sunsets nightly. Someone from our family walked to the close by tide pools daily where they saw lots of hermit crabs and even a couple of octopuses!! The house managers, Leeana and Elizabit, were very responsive to any questions we had and requests for help. We really appreciated Kimberly shopping so that we had groceries in the house when we arrived. As our flight was late and we didn’t get in until 8pm our first day, we were especially thankful that we’d had groceries delivered. Kimberly was knowledgeable about buying gluten free food for our family members who have Celiac. Kimberly and the staff at the house, kept the grounds clean, cleaned our bedrooms every other day or so, cleared away our trash and recycling every evening and kept the place secure all night. Each of the five bedrooms had bathrooms attached to them. All except one bedroom is only accessed through an outside courtyard. So perhaps this wouldn’t be a good house for younger children as they would be wandering outside to get to their parent’s bedroom.The main living area inside is not huge for eleven people, but the plentiful outside tables and chairs accommodated us just fine. The smallish pool was great for cooling off if you didn’t want to be in the ocean and has some great seats on one side from where you can see some of the ocean. We all loved our visit!!!

Family gathering to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Oliva! The house was more beautiful than the pictures. The swimming pool was terrific. I was a little worried as it was small but is had wonderful steps into the pool and comfortable benches to lounge in the clean water. The location is lovely and the beach beautiful and not crowded. Every question or concern was immediately answered and promptly taken care of. Our family of 8 had a great stay! We highly recommend this house.

Wonderful stay!! The house staff could not have been more helpful and kind. They were more than accommodating and the property was amazing! Just like the pictures. The beach out front was a wonderful surf spot and we enjoyed the sushi and drinks from just down the road! Great family vacation spot, we will be back!

Family Vacation

We had the most wonderful family vacation at Casa Olivia recently. This fantastic home is located right on the most beautiful beach. We loved the outdoor areas and the pool. The manager was a great help before our arrival and the staff on-site were wonderful. The meals cooked by Kimberly and Evelyn were highlights of the trip. We can’t wait to return.

Big Family Reunion

This property was ideal for our family reunion. We were able to rent this house and the property next door through the same owner and it was great! The staff was great and attended to our needs. Our stay at Villa Olivia exceeded our expectations in almost every area. The view of the pristine beach, open-air concept, and upscale feel of the rooms and common area were absolutely amazing. The staff was outstanding with Kimberly leading the way as cook and primary contact person during our stay. She made several excellent breakfasts including empanadas on our last day along with an amazing Lasagna dinner during the week. We would certainly recommend that you touch base with Kimberly when you arrive to plan meals and arrange grocery shopping. Because of the security guards who patrolled the grounds from 6pm to 6am our group of 10 felt perfectly safe in this spectacular Villa that served as our home for 5 days after having spent 2 days in the La Fortuna area. We did a day trip into Tamarindo and are so glad we didn’t book our lodging there as the nightlife was less kid and family friendly than the beeches and community of Playa Grande. Be sure to walk to the black sand beach, get a massage, take surf lessons, and do a night beach walk to see the Milky Way in all its glory. The bedrooms were all well decorated and roomy with comfortable beds. The cold air conditioning offered a much appreciated reprieve from the hot and humid weather. We visited during the rainy season but, other than evening showers, had very little rain. The villa had just been remodeled prior to our visit and the attention to detail in creating warm and welcoming views and egress for a smooth flowing transition from indoor air-conditioned common areas to the huge covered porch and balcony make this Villa one of the best houses on the beach. There are numerous hammocks and rocking chairs that allow for hours of relaxation while watching and listening to the waves crash. The pool is somewhat small but perfect for cooling down and rinsing off after playing in the ocean. The only issue we had during our stay was that the hot water heater servicing the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms was never able to keep up. Jeffrey, the caretaker, did his best and made several repairs during the week but the small size of the water heater meant that many of us ended up taking showers in the two downstairs bathrooms. Again, a small issue but inconvenient nonetheless. Overall, we would highly recommend Villa Olivia for groups of 10-15 people who are wanting a quiet and relaxing ocean front luxury experience. You won’t be disappointed!

Like a movie

We had a fantastic time. Could wake up and walk out to the waves first thing and the staff was so nice and we felt very safe. Would highly recommend it. You can walk all the way to Tamarindo if the tied is low in like 45 minutes.
