All good except the room, which was on the upper floor and had awful headroom throughout - this wasn’t just in one area and caused us to not sleep well thinking about bathroom visits overnight

One of the oldest Inn’s in Wales. Inside the Castle walls and totally unique. An awesome cute tiny pub and they say the Inn has a resident ghost! Only a 5 minute walk to Castle Caernarfon which is an amazingly well preserved castle from 1283.

The Black Boy is an authentic inn right in the heart of Caernarfon. The location is excellent, the staff very friendly, and the food and drink options are plentiful. We loved stepping back in time at the Black Boy!

Super Welsh welcome

Great weekend in Caernarfon. Accidentally booked to stay the weekend of the food festival but we got a call to give us advice on parking and arriving super early to beat the crowds which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We were in the townhouse round the corner from the pub and the room was lovely, very clean and spacious! The staff were very helpful and welcoming too! Highly recommend!

Overall a good, clean, comfortable room, however, we were disappointed not to be staying above the Black Boy Inn, but rather their townhouse around the corner and opposite a very rowdy pub.

They also own a building around the corner... thats where we lodged. Had to walk a couple blocks for breakfast. Quiet , convenient, and clean. Parking is orivided by the Pub but it's a 5 min walk uphill to the lidgings.
