The hotel was great for cleanliness, the room was great for what we needed with a nice touch left for our dog who came with us, the staff were very polite, the food was really good. We had a really lovely weekend, but….. the one downfall, we found was, when they say ‘pet friendly’ really the hotels should provide what facilities cannot be used.
We were ‘not’ allowed to use the bar OR the restaurant. We were put into a snug/small lounge area for drinks, so felt very out of it for atmosphere. We were the only ones in there. They provided a small table and chairs in there, for our evening meal, where again we felt very out of it for atmosphere. You go away to gain atmosphere. Which was such a shame, as cannot see why the bar with wooden floors, were not allowed for dog owners, like a lot of places. On the plus side, the meal and food service was excellent.
