Perfect location & great service!!!!!

Service is always great here. Location is fantastic close to the reef tours and great restaurants. The hotel is trying to keep up with its age but I can see signs of tiredness from over the years.

Service with a smile.

Fantastic service from being greeted at the door to pool bar and room service. Relaxing. convenient and comfortable. My daughters 40th and she was treated with a lovely cheese platter, champagne on ice and maccaroons which was sweet. Oh I also got 2 free cocktails on arrival to enjoy at the pool bar. My only advice though if you have any difficulty walking or a poor sense of direction it could be tricky. Awesome place to stay.

Dislike We had to pay a parking fee to have our car in their car park each night. We chose this property for the convenience of being only walking distance to the Esplanade. As its all paid car parks in the city of cairns... Otherwise we were smitten with the property itself. Plus they charged an extra $100 per night as a security bond on our room. We are still waiting. 6 days later fir it to be deposited back into our bank. They said it only takes 2 days.

I loved the facilities including the pool, gym and cafe. The convenience was excellent with lots of dining options and cafe, and close to everything. The room was clean and well maintained, with also many convenient and thoughtful features like USB powerpoint and an alarm clock with wireless charging station. The view was amazing as well, not to mention that we paid extra for the view. Only the cleaning side was a bit disappointing… housekeeping staff forgot to clean the toilet bowl often, and it was left open. When we woke up late and the first round of cleaning was not done, housekeeping wasn’t done until 5pm when we come back. Other than this, we enjoyed staying.

I love the location but was very disappointed with this hotel. The pictures are MUCH nicer looking than the property actually is. We arrived late in the evening and when we walked into the lobby the smell hit me like a mac truck. It smelled like cleaning supplies and it never improved. The property is very tired and worn. We wondered if they were struggling financially because there were so many delayed maintenance issues. On a good not, the location was fantastic. Lot’s of restaurants and even some shopping in the same building. We were able to walk everywhere. So bottomline if all you care about is location and a 3 star property at best, you’ll be fine. Oh one last thing, we were 2 couples traveling and they did not offer connecting rooms. Safe travels.
