Kaltern is known for its excellent wines, which you can taste directly from the winemaker in the numerous wineries. The best part is, you can reach them in a few meters from your apartment (100 m-1 km). So nothing stands in the way of an extensive wine-tasting. In addition, you can hike extensively in the region. Also a shopping trip to Bolzano, which is only 15 km away (20 minutes by car).
