I booked this hotel through Expedia. Shortly after, I received an email stating that the pool was closed. We were staying here for a volleyball tournament and specifically chose a hotel with a hot tub to relax after a long day of playing. After learning the pool was closed, I immediately tried to cancel our reservation. We had booked nine days in advance and attempted to cancel just 30 minutes after booking. Expedia refused to issue a refund, blaming the hotel. When I called the hotel, they also refused to cancel, instead blaming Expedia. Over the phone, the hotel assured me that while the pool was closed, the hot tub remained open—so we decided to keep our reservation. However, upon check-in, we discovered we had been lied to—the hot tub was closed as well. The front desk staff told me the manager would be in the next morning to discuss the issue. But when I went to speak with them, the manager was not there. It was a Sunday, so I can only assume this was another lie! I was then told the manager would call me later that day—but I never received a call. Another lie! I have never been so disappointed with Expedia and have never experienced such poor customer service and dishonesty. Worst experience ever!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn near Calgary Airport for two nights and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. My room was spotless, and the common areas were consistently well-maintained. This attention to detail made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff, particularly those at the front desk, were incredibly co-operative and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They were friendly, efficient, and always willing to assist with any questions or requests. The hotel's proximity to the airport was also a major plus, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Calgary Airport. The combination of cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient location makes it an easy recommendation. I would definitely choose to stay here again on future trips to Calgary.
