Liked: Room comfort
The staff were great and accommodating. There was a miscommunication and I was getting frustrated as previous staff member said she would leave a detailed message of my room change issue for staff in morning. They had no idea what I was talking about. They were very polite and calm even when I got frustrated. The self serve breakfast nook in the morning was nice and the coffee was great. The front entrance had a strong over powering fragrance odor. I assumed to hide other smells but way to much perfume for me. The rooms are basic but clean. Fridge was unplugged when we got there when I plugged it in it was really noisy thus the reason some one else unplugged it I am sure. The room was a double queen and air conditioner was right next to bed. Bed was squished up against it. It was wonderful to have it though as it was hot. Just hard to sleep with it blowing directly over a person. I feel the room is made for one Queen bed and there were two squished in. The beds were comfy. You could hear all going on in hallways. As I was staying with grand kids and there was a soccer tournament going on it was sufficient and affordable for what we needed it for and I understood the noise of kids.. There is a Tim Horton's Starbucks Boston Pizza and about 6 other restaurant Pizza places all with in the block. Other wise the traffic as it is right by main road was not noisy.
Didnt realize it had stairs. We were able to get the handicap room thanks to the staff. Overnight person was a little rude but the evening and day shift staff were wonderful.

We asked for quite room, first got there was young boys loud, we asked for other room said there was not any. we left the building said to cancel our stay and return our room fees ,,, they said to contact Expedia for the for the refund
I had a pleasant stay. The staff was extremely polite and helpful especially during check-in. The complimentary breakfast was also good. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The rooms are extremel old, and dirty. There is no elevator which makes brining luggage to and from your room very difficult. There was only bread, apples and banana for "breakfast".

Discounts should be given while property is renovated and painted. Halls and walls were dirty and full of construction dust, tape, and paper. Definitely not worth 140$/night

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was absolutely disgusting. We booked for 2 nights, got into town around 6, checked in and had to rush to another town 30 mins away to be with my mother in law who’s fighting 2 types of leukaemia and didn’t get back til 11pm. We had no choice but to sleep in andirty bed, use the filty bathroom. There was even old food left in the fridge left behind from the last people that stayed there. And they still charged us for this room fully. We checked out the next morning and just couldn’t stay the extra night. This is not okay.
The front desk agents were friendly and cheerful. The property was adequate; the carpeting, paint and furnishings all looked tired. The morning housekeeping staff was unfortunately loud, waking us up by apparently talking on their cell phone while working in the breakfast buffet area.
