The resort was incredible!! From start to finish, head to toe, every detail was well thought out and seamless. The activities they had to offer were so much fun, the amenities were great, the food was amazing and the resort was spotless. Would be ideal for couples who need to relax and unwind!

Overall we had a good stay! Our swim up pool room was very, very smelly- like musty and made our clothes smell, even after we washed them when we got home! When we tried to reach someone to resolve the issue we reached a staff member twice (over the phone) but got disconnected both times. No one ever resolved the issue. The other part that we were not a fan of was that we paid tons of money to be on this resort but were turned away from the French themed restaurant because my fiancé did not have pants with on this trip- apparently that's their dress code. He did have dress shorts and a dress shirt on. Doesn't seem like the best policy for paying customers/guests. The last complaint is the OVERWHELMING smell of the air freshener in the main lobby area (which was unavoidable). The smell was literally nauseating :-(. Turn it down or off please! On a positive note, almost every single staff person we encountered on the trip were AMAZING! So kind and always smiling. The food was also very good!

We had a fabulous stay here. Food was great. Pools were great. We had the Excellence Club upgrade and were happy with the benefits. We enjoyed sitting in the peace and quiet on the far side of the resort by the lazy river. If you are looking for a more energetic atmosphere, that is available at the main pool as well. Only downside was the excess seaweed, but that is nothing against the resort. The entire stretch of beach had the same issue and it is impossible to stay on top of.

The resort was excellent. The food, drinks, property, etc was all amazing. The only issue we came across was that we were a girls group of 5 on a girls 50th bday trip. Most restaurants were more geared towards 2's/couples. One of the restaurants wouln't sit the 5 of us together, if we wanted to eat there then we would have had to have split up. And at the lobster house 3 of us wanted to eat breakfast on the little balconies over the water, but they wouldn't let us . They said it was only for 2 when there was so much room for 3 and in fact 4. It was a bit of situation and I escalated it. We were not going to have one girl sit by herself. After we said we would pay them some money they eventually let us.

I absolutely loved everything about this resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, the rooms were spotless (they even cleaned them twice a day!), and the food options were fantastic—surprisingly varied for the size of the resort. The entertainment was also a lot of fun. My only note is that it feels more like a couples’ resort than one for a girls’ trip, but regardless, we had an amazing time and I would definitely return!

This place was amazing! We’ve done a ton of all inclusive and the food here was above and beyond! The staff was amazing. Hector at Chez Isabelle was so kind and made me feel incredibly special on my birthday. All of the variety of the restaurants was a plus as well. Hugo at the pool bar took great care of me on my 40th birthday. He was so kind and fun. Lots of laughs. Angel is the BEST activity director ever! He had me in tears we laughed so hard. Kept the energy going. Carlos was so good with helping us get to the room and giving us tips on what to do. The property was gorgeous. Well kept. It had a fun vibe to it but not spring break crazy which was so nice. Plenty of seating around the pool and beach. We were never left without a chair. I am not one to go to the same place twice but would definitely go back! Thank you Excellence for making my birthday one of the best birthdays ever!

This was our second stay here. We just love how this particular Excellence resort is so inviting. While their other resorts are newer, we didn't feel as comfortable as we do at this one. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and hilarious, and there is so much to do at this resort. The lazy river is unmatched compared to other resorts. The food is top notch and so much more flavorful than the other all-inclusives we've been to. The night events are a lot of fun as well. There are also plenty of daytime activities for those who like to be more engaged. The resort is huge, which allowed us to always find a new zone that fit our mood for that day. If we were more social, we could hang out at the party section by the music. If we were looking for a place to read by the pool, we would move near the spa. There are plenty of cuisines offered and bars everywhere. They also do not skimp on the alcohol! The concierge is great at helping to book excursions for those who are looking to explore.

Enjoyed our 5th visit as much as our 1st visit. Tha staff are amazing! Friendly and efficient. Especially Matilde at the spa pool. The property is kept clean and well maintained. The rooms are large clean and well appointed. The dining rooms are varied to please any palatte from french to japanese to mexican. And no reservations required. Looking forward to the next chance we have to visit.

Why would I rate this hotel with two stars, very old not remodeled rooms are old and not remodeled, same with the entire hotel, pools are falling apart beach is nasty. Service is good only after you start tipping.
