I waivered on 2 or 3 stars. A few things that made the stay less than optimal. If you are expecting a 4 start resort, think again. Its more than 3 and less than 4. Overall I give it a 2.5. 1. First, they have no idea how room charges are supposed to work. When you check in you can leave a CC on your room, but everywhere you go on property, they will want a card. No one will do a room charge. They will always ask for a CC. Talked to another guest and he had same issue. Do not leave your CC for room charges, its useless. And complaining won't change a thing. You need to use your CC on premise at every single place. 2. The room humidity is soooooo bad. The sheets feel cold and wet and when you leave your clothes will smell like mold. They seriously need to clean the AC and revamp it. 3. The whole place is in disrepair. They really need to take down the pool and fix it. Missing tiles all over and cracks, AC is moldy, cracks in the walks, elevators not working, doors torn off hinge, bathrooms half renovated. 4. The restaurants are very confusing. I read reviews about the food being bad. I thought it was just ok, not bad, but not great. The problem is, the restaurant schedule is all over the place. Hard to keep track of what is open and what is closed. It was a mystery what and where you would eat every night. Maybe I was not looking in the right spot for a schedule. 5. This one, not their fault. The beach was gross with sargassum. The beach was unusable and unenjoyable.

The hotel has practically no food options if you’re vegetarian or pescatarian. There’s only 3 restaurants & a buffet to choose from, and they randomly close the restaurants too leaving you with little to no food options. We had a garden view room and were constantly hearing construction & the neighboring hotel’s entertainment until midnight every night making it impossible to sleep. The hotel is also outdoor garden style and not air conditioned, there is only air conditioning in the rooms & gift shop so as soon as you step out you are met with heat. There is also practically no entertainment at night, it gets very boring. I have stayed at other all inclusives that have so much entertainment at night so you don’t have to leave the resort. The pool is alright. The only thing I will give 5 stars to is the staff & how friendly and attentive they are. Every single staff member there goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service, especially JJ at the pool, he was amazing. But other than the customer service by the staff, this hotel falls so flat due to its mediocre food and lack of activities. We had to eat out and do excursions just to get decent food and not be bored which defeats the purpose of staying at an all inclusive. Everything also felt very outdated, not a fan.

Hotel Fiesta Americana is a great hotel to stay with family and friends. It is very friendly, the food options are amazing, and its people is warm and friendly. Our room had a terrace, and the terrace had whirlpool facing the Caribbean Ocean (hard to beat). It is also very well0located, if you like water activities, AquaWorld is right across the street (literally), no need to wait (or take) any kind of transportation. We left AquaWorld soaking wet, and just walk into the Hotel's pool :)

We went to the fiesta Americana for our elopement and it was an absolutely enjoyable time. Everything was incredible the staff were great and very kind. The food was delicious our favorite places were the steakhouse and the seafood outside restaurant! The rooms were great only downside were the outlets were a little loose and my plugs kept falling out and our AC didn’t not lower below 72 room felt a little sticky from humidity, but wasn’t that big of a deal. They have lots of little activities you can do each day and they do deals with excursions off the resort!

Fiesta Americana was a beautiful resort with the kindest staff! Great buffet, amazing other dining options on the property, and filtered water stations throughout the resort which was really convenient. I would 10/10 recommend and I will be coming back next time I’m in Cancun!

We stayed for 7 days and was great. Staff very friendly, food really good and delicious. Deserts oh yeah!!! We almost tried everything there. Bad news: A/C was little noisy!!! Also, I think property owners should do something about seaweeds. Like cleanup and make that beach really nice. We didn’t liked that people reserved all chairs around the pool with towels already at 7am. So you don’t have too much choice and you end up at the beach if you not early bird. We booked room with ocean front but unfortunately they screwed up us without balcony so was pointless. I asked front desk to change room when we checked in but of course they didn’t care. Well 3 stars from us !!! Good luck!!!

First time staying at fiesta Americana, staff are absolutely amazing people they treat you with respect and kindness, the only downside to this resort is that is extremely hot including most bathrooms and restaurants reception and lobby. The gym was under construction and it was moved to a different area were it felt like a sauna.
