The property is very small. If you’re looking for not much walking this property is for you. The elevators are tight. The room had a musty smell and mold on the lampshades and bed skirts. The furniture and closet hinges also had rust. Instantly activated my asthma. I would never stay here again. The balcony cement was broken. It was one of my least favorite stays.

I would not recommend staying at Sandos Cancun. The bedroom walls are dingy, and the furniture is cheap and rickety. The food was consistently bland, poorly cooked, or had confusing flavors. We even kept a salt shaker in our room after multiple requests for it because salt was rare in all the hotel restaurants. Waitstaff often forgot to bring our orders, and the mixed drinks were so bad we ended up drinking canned beer the rest of our stay. The worst part was that my fiancé got food poisoning from the hotel's restaurant, Seasons, and was vomiting for an entire night and day. I informed reception and asked for help, but they did nothing. I requested simple food items from room service, but they refused because they weren't on the late-night menu. After complaining at the front desk, they sent up light foods. I received a call from the concierge, Abril, the next day who apologized and promised something special for us at dinner. She never showed up and nothing special was prepared. I confronted her afterwards, and she made an excuse for her no show. She later claimed we'd get a partial refund and gave me her manager's contact for Expedia to get in touch with. Seven days later, the manager, Stefano Rayo, still hasn’t responded to Expedia’s attempts to process our refund. I will update this review if I hear back, but after everything, I have low expectations.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Another Great Stay at Sandos Cancún This was me and my wife’s second time staying at Sandos Cancún, and once again it didn’t disappoint. The beach access is unbeatable, and the Zango buffet was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The staff is always incredibly friendly, the rooms are clean, and we really appreciated having room service available. I also liked that there was a designated smoking area and a lifeguard on duty, which made the beach feel even more safe and enjoyable. If I had to mention a few things they could improve, the bathrooms are a bit outdated, and it would be nice to have smart TVs in the rooms. A game room with things like a pool table, ping pong, chess, and other activities would be a great addition. It would also really help if they added a ramp down to the beach so people with disabilities can easily access the water. But overall, this resort continues to be a favorite of ours, and we’ll definitely be back. Sandos Cancún still earns a full 5 out of 5 from us!

Hotel is run down and dated. Balcony railing was loose. Gym cardio equipment was not working or worn down. Mold all over the bathroom, stained bathrobe, low water pressure, tepid water, pool not heated, jacuzzi not hot, food options limited (restaurants not open, no room service, no drink/food service on beach), construction noise next-door completely killed the relaxing beach vibe. Staff was lovely, you are on the beach, and my massage was amazing, but I would never recommend or go back.

The Service was very good when it came to cleaning of room, food , bartenders, front desk. The resort was very nice. The negatives of the trip though was that hardly any of the restaurants were opened and the one night the italian restaurant was open we made a reservation @ 5:30 pm and was told to come back at 6pm. When we came back the worker told us and many other people that they were not accepting reservations. people were angry. The hot tub never worked at all either the whole time.

The room was perfect along with the service in the restaurants and bars. what threw us off is that in order to have certain liquors you have to be a member of their "Royal Elite", they advertise the property as all inclusive, that is not all inclusive. We will never stay there again. We have been to Cancun several times, and neve came across something like this in any of the resort we stayed in the past.

Finally got around to writing this review! My friends and I stayed at Sandos in Cancun from November 4th to 8th, and I just had to share our experience. I’ve been to Cancun many times — I truly love this place. But this was my first time staying at this particular hotel. To be honest, at first, I was ready to write a very negative review because the hotel turned out to be a bit different from what I expected. It’s definitely not new anymore and has quite a few flaws. But everything completely changed when the manager, Stefano Rayo, paid attention to our complaints… He turned out to be some kind of magician! Initially, we received a free room upgrade since I have Platinum membership with Expedia, but there was no hot water in the shower — we had to take cold showers even though we reported it several times. The issue wasn’t resolved… until Stefano found out about our problem. He gave us another, even better room with hot water! And his attitude toward us was simply outstanding — very respectful, polite, and professional. We truly felt like queens! 👑 We’re so grateful to him for doing everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Thanks to Stefano, our opinion about the hotel completely changed! We’d also like to mention Esdras, our waiter — he was always kind, friendly, and polite. Thank you! Overall, most of the hotel staff were nice and courteous, with just a few exceptions. In the end, our vacation turned out to be wonderful and full of fun!

Best beach I have seen in Cancun by far. The property was poorly maintained (old worn out furniture, chipped paint, moldy smell, pool water had paint chips and cigarette buds) staff was not helpful with questions kept getting the run around. Dinner reservations were a nightmare. Food was cold and buffet was not the best. I can say room service was great and dinner at the masquerade was fantastic. No nightlife entertainment and the activities are minimal.
