We loved the hotel and entertainment team. Food was a bit disappointing at times, but the drinks and entertainment were great and the beach beautiful. My biggest suggestion for improvement is to take away some of the 'elite member' cabanas and put more sub beds for regular guests, as these were limited and the elite ones were mostly empty and they were trying to upsell all the time. The staff worked really hard and were on the whole amazing. We had a great time and the New Year's Eve event was the best we had experienced!

My family of 6 adults stayed there for 5 days over New Years eve 2025. It was the resort's first year of being adult-only, and we felt they still had some kinks to work out. What was great was location, drinks, room sizes were huge, great New Year's eve party event, and good service. What could have been better: 1 pool (of 3) is in shade all day and another pool requires extra payment for a cabana; food should be better; our room had a leak in the bathroom all 5 days. Even though it is advertised as an "all inclusive" resort, they often ask for extra payments (through buying a bottle of booze) for 1 privilege or another.

The room was very nice. Half of the staff couldn't speak English so it was difficult at times. The food was AWFUL. For an all inclusive, the food should be its shining feature, but Sandos' food was really bad. Honestly, it was comparable to hospital food. We will never come back! It was NOT CHEAP. We had a king suite on the ocean, so it was $$ Most of the staff were very nice, except for all of their rules! You can't eat this here. You can't bring this there. This is our 3rd all inclusive and we've never been given all of these rules!

When we arrived we did not have a balcony room and I went to the front desk and was told that websites advertise the rooms differently and with their records we do not have a balcony. I asked if we could switch rooms and was told the rooms were full. I was told later by someone different the rooms were not full. There were just many inconsistent answers or parameters regarding the same issues. Overall ( for the price) good trip but just no accomodating misconceptions to improve small fixes that would have made the trip better for the expectations.

When arriving to the hotel we had to get dropped off at the gate due to the guard having a convo with another employee instead of speaking with driver and letting us in. We then had to walk with our luggage all the way up. No one was there to open the door or welcome us in. No one offered to take our bags while we checked in. We then checked in but was given minimal information. The lady did not give us our room number so we went back to figure that out. Buffet was extremely small and limited on options. VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF HISPANIC FOOD. More desserts than food options at buffet. We went to have dinner at the buffet when there was almost no one in there and our server never came to give us drinks. We walked to the bar and got our own drinks. She finally comes and noticed we already had drinks but never came back to refill our drinks. Servers take forever to come to the table to ask what you want to drink or take your order. Amazing service in habachi and amazing entertainment team. Older gentleman at the front desk was super nice and made sure everyone was aware of the activities and events. Restaurants had very little amount of food options as well.

This is our 7th day at Sandos Cancun - Adults only, we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We frequent the Riviera often and have stayed at quite a few resorts both Family and Adults only, so we have a lot of previous experience to draw from. The 6 of us are in agreement that this resort is a solid 4 star. Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons of Sandos Cancun. Pros Staff/service - we have received excellent service from all of the staff. Every bar, restaurant, spa staff and the housekeeping has been consistently good. The staff is friendly and helpful with or without tipping. We do tip but we have observed that the staff provide other non-tipping guests with the same level of service. Room/bed - we are all in a Deluxe Room with a view of the pools, ocean and lagoon. The beds are California Kings and super comfortable. The A/C works great and we've been able to keep the room at the temperature we prefer. One misstep has been the bath towels, they were great the first 3 days but on the 4th day and since we've been given older, scratchy, slightly fraying towels. This has been a small disappointment but not worth complaining about. Room Service - this has been consistently good with a wait time of 30 mins on average, the food shows up cold but still good in flavour and decent portion size (typical of all-inclusive resorts). Location - the location is excellent for the price point. We normally prefer to stay closer to Puerto Morales or Akumal but those locations are a bit mor

It was my first time traveling to Cancun and Sandos resorts was a good choice. The property and rooms were very clean, staff was amazing and friendly (except for two servers). Entertainment group did an amazing job putting on daily shows and parties - I don’t know how they did it but they really worked hard to keep the guests entertained! New Years Eve was very fun and we met some amazing friends!! Food options and quality can be improved. There were a few dishes that might have been dry or just not the freshest. Breakfast and dinner options were ok.

The housekeeping staff was quick and thorough. The restaurant staff was upbeat and sweet, always made sure we were getting the full benefit of the all-inclusive. The pools are amazing, three different levels with the lowest one having the interactive & party activities. The ballroom for the night parties was a bit small, however we made sure to be the life of the party. My fav restaurants were frattinis and st trop. Great experience, would potentially go somewhere that had more night life though.

Overall, the experience was just ok. Good side-the staff is sweet and really want people to be happy, bar singers were good, and the beach is great. Bad side-rooms have very few outlets, food tries to be fancy and the final product is not great, entertainment at the pool is strange for lack of a better word, the pools have zero sun in the afternoon due to the building next door, Bar One needs more seating, most of the scheduled evening programs never happened. We did not use the spa, but the prices seem high.

First time in Cancun and I’m happy with this resort overall. The staffs are so friendly and nice. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only down side was that (I’m no foodie) but the dinner and lunch options are average, I found the breakfast was my favourite. Another thing worth to mention was that the flow and pressure of the shower is not ideal, it’s a personal preference but it was not strong. The chairs and seats are limited on the beach, we went out around 8am and they were all taken. Last but not least, if you getting the package do not take Flair Air, pay a little extra to avoid the stress at the Cancun airport. The airport experience is the worst among my travelling years. The airport transportation to the hotel was very convenient, there was a rep from the MTS at this hotel so we booked our trips through them very reliable, highly recommend.

Hotel is small, worn down, in need of top down renovation and was only about 50% capacity. Loud turbines for air conditioning at the hotel next door are constantly roaring - zero silence all week - entertainment was highly sexual and not very good. Pool music was good on day one - the rest of the week it was nothing but thumping and pounding repetitive music that you couldn’t really understand… The pounding got to be so bad that we actually left the pool area with headaches. Food was “ok” but far from good and well below the average level for Mexico (vacation regularly in Mexico) Two stars - definitely not returning.

The staff was wonderful. The room was nice and clean. We spent the entire time on the beach so I cannot speak about the pools. The only downside was that about a third of the beach cabanas are broken and if you don't get there early you will not get a lounge chair
