The rooms were nice and you got your mini fridge restocked every evening. Food was okay. No AC in any major part of hotel so very hot in July. Pools do not have filtration systems, it seems. Pool was closed majority of first day we were there. There are no reservations for dining options through Expedia. Someone came to make “reservation's” for us for dining when we arrived but when we went to dining areas we were not on the list. We did get lucky though and were able to try Italian, Japanese and New York dining options. Japanese was the best but it’s the smallest so many were waiting for a long time. Over all 3/5.

The staff was great, hotel accommodations was great, MTS service was great. The mattress on bunk beds were very uncomfortable. The floors by the pool are very slippery. The food from the restaurants were okay. Too hot in the elevators.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Cancun and was very disappointed with the conditions. The bathroom was poorly maintained and not appropriate for guests. The pool was dirty, and the basketball court was falling apart and unsafe. Due to these issues, I ended up having to cut my trip short and leave earlier than planned. The overall experience did not meet even basic hospitality standards.

I loved the excellent customer service. The food at the steak house was great, the buffet not so much. Not even the juices were flavorful. There was plenty of entertainment and activities on the resort, but the beach was absolutely horrible. Seaweed made it impossible to go for a swim. With dark ocean water. The pools were warm, not cool enough for the hot mexico weather. The rooms need to be updated, rusted hardware, broken knobs and extremely humid despite the AC being turned to the lowest. Forget about the elevator, it’s hotter than being outdoors! The best part of the stay was the staff, how attentive they were and the amazing shows they put on. Not worth a second trip though. Don’t let the photos fool you!!!!

We had a generally pleasant experience, but a very troubling situation needs to be mentioned. While sitting in the lobby, I accidentally left my wallet on a chair. Minutes later, it was gone. Luckily, I had a hidden GPS tracker inside and confirmed it never left the area. I showed security the real-time location, and after that, the wallet “magically” appeared—on the bed of a pickup truck in the parking lot, an area I never went near. All signs point to a staff member being involved, as no outside guest would have access or reason to do that. I was never shown any camera footage (they claimed the area had no coverage), and although I filed a formal report (I have a copy), I never heard back. I doubt upper management was even informed. Without the GPS, I’m sure I would’ve never recovered it. July 30 5:06-5:12pm Besides that, the hotel looks stunning, but service does not match the design. Elevators are slow, hot, overcrowded, and unreliable. Restaurant service is chaotic—untrained staff, long gaps with no open dining options, and poor customer interaction. Most staff were cold and unwelcoming, except for the entertainment team, who were truly amazing and full of energy. Honestly, the property deserves better management. The current team is ruining what could be an excellent resort.

Seadust Family Resort Cancun July 27- August 2, 2025 First the things you’ll wish you knew. Second, there is no casino.It doesn’t exist. Also no gelato stand which really disappointed our daughter. Third, the adults only pool is off limits unless you pay for the Infinity Luxury Travel level which they promise isn’t a time share. Four and most importantly,during seaweed season the beach is unusable. The seaweed was 18” thick on the beach in places and the water was full of it. It seems they rely solely on the public beach cleaning service that your tourist tax helps pay and it isn’t nearly enough to get cleaned once per day from June through September in seaweed season. It’s worse than you think. The other issues, like how unbelievably hot the elevators are, low water pressure in the shower and tub, were more nuances and didn’t really affect our stay. The staff are excellent and very attentive. The food is “fine” and that’s how everyone describes their dining experience, but each restaurant had some better options and a few that were much less impressive. The Mexican Night in the foyer was super and very well done to replicate a street experience inside the hotel in a safe clean environment. We felt Seadust was a good value for what we spent, so we were overall satisfied and able to overlook the shortcomings, except the sorry state of the beach. Just know this is not a luxury experience unless you pay to be a member and even then it’s lacking so much.

Im going to give my upmost honest review. the lack of AC in the food gallery, elevator, and alllllll the lobby area gets stressful . The moment you step out the room you are hit with the heat. The room does count with a ceiling fan and Ac has a way for you to adjust the fan speed but will not go lower than 22c. Only decent AC are in the enclosed restaurants, bar closest to the lobby and game room for the kids apart from the room you stay in. The food court could have been better with its food options especially for kids same options served everyday for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Towels are always in demand and the towel station employees are always telling you they dont have enough for everyone, we always got shorted 2, we were a family of 5. Towel station employees are always in the worst of moods. Kids water park does need some updating and a touch of fresh paint but nothing that is unsafe for kids. Craft area and kids play area was well kept and clean. Activities are always available for kids to stay busy and entertained . Staff is a little too pushy on selling you the “ infinity membership” The drinks are your typical watered down drinks. Refrigerator in the room are always restocked with drinks and snacks. Rooms are not completely sound proof. You can hear who ever is above you Again you get what you pay for and im well aware of that. There are many resorts that are way better if you can afford please do consider another option before choosing this resort.

I would strongly advise against returning to SEADUST Cancún. The experience my wife and I, along with our five-year-old daughter, endured was utterly unpleasant. Upon our arrival and entering our room, we immediately noticed an unusually high temperature. I adjusted the thermostat to a cooler setting, but after several hours, the room remained undisturbed. I contacted the front desk to request a technician to inspect the air conditioning system, but the representative informed me that the issue was widespread and that most rooms were affected. Throughout our four-night stay, we endured constant sweating throughout the day and night, which resulted in significant discomfort and sleep deprivation. Additionally, our room was infested with roaches, extending from the bathroom to the bed. The pools were not adequately maintained, and the water in the main pool was noticeably yellow. Furthermore, the beach behind the resort was littered with seaweed, rendering it unsafe for swimming. While I typically refrain from writing negative reviews, this experience stands out as the most disappointing hotel encounter we have ever had. Therefore, I strongly recommend avoiding SEADUST Cancún altogether, as you may encounter similar issues.

The staff there are deceiving and dishonest. They force TimeShare purchase down your throat upon check-in. There is no AC or air flow inside the atrium, inside the restaurants, and the room AC doesn’t get any cooler that 79 degrees. Oh the gym has no AC as well! They consider you a V.I.P. Guest and give you better accommodations with rooms, food, and drinks only if you purchase a TimeShare at a LONG hour and a half presentation at check-in or within 24hours of checking in. If you do not purchase the TimeShare, your “All-Inclusive” stay is the basic watered down drinks, dry reheated food, or pay extra at the bar and everything else. It’s suppose to be a family resort. We took our kids. They had a good time not knowing the behind the scene struggles we had to deal with. After our 2nd day, we stayed out the resort during the day for the remaining 3 days by exploring outside restaurants, excursions, and shopping. I’m sure everyone’s experiences is different. Our kids are still talking about the trip, but the they have no good memories or good things to say about that resort. This is my honest experience and opinion.
