The hotel has a clean beach and warm ocean, and overall, our stay was good. However, the dining reservation system was a major issue—especially on my birthday. We were told to book restaurant dinners through the hotel app, but it rarely worked. For days, we couldn’t get a reservation, and the concierge was unhelpful. On my birthday, we tried everything—app, reception, and even speaking to the restaurant staff directly—but no one could assist or explain what to do when the system failed. In the end, our names weren’t on any list, and no one tried to help. Thankfully, the Pina Colada restaurant accommodated us without a reservation, and we had a great evening there. Still, the lack of support and poor communication from hotel staff left a bad impression on what should have been a special day. Still, the overall experience around the birthday left us with a sour feeling. For a resort of this level, the lack of a reliable reservation system and poor communication from staff around such a basic service was disappointing. A special occasion was nearly ruined due to disorganization and indifference, which really overshadowed what could have been a memorable trip.

The beach and location of this resort was perfect. We enjoyed the size and space of the villa our family stayed in, but the furnishings need an update. The food and restaurant options were limited. It was impossible to make a reservation at one of the two restaurants for dinner. The food itself was mediocre, including room service. We liked the size of the resort for convenience, everything is walkable and close by, however, there are a lot of stairs. For those with disabilities or not as mobile, there is no avoiding climbing stairs in certain areas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and public spaces were kept clean. The beach was beautiful, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The sand in front of the resort was well maintained. Overall, we appreciated the number of beds and bathrooms in our villa. Each room had its own A/C unit. The resort met our needs, but did not meet or exceed our expectations.

I didn’t like the ongoing construction they had maybe a notice would’ve went a long way informing us that there would be construction going on but other then that everything was amazing especially the entertainment shows they had during the nighttime.

When you check in They make you download an app for the hotel which is how you make reservations for the restaurants and we were never able to make one for the app was glitched. Went to the concierge and they made a reservation for us however, when we went to the restaurant, they had no record of such reservation. So we ate from the dinner buffet two out of the three nights we were there. The bathrooms have an open shower door, which floods when you shower all of the water seeps out. The staff was nice. Kukus beach bar and the lobby bar were the best. They have a night club but it’s not really advertised well so there’s hardly anyone in there. But the food they serve after the club is good. I did book a massage and that was 100% the highlight of the trip. Property is clean and the staff is nice. Very family friendly. The dinner reservation process and the flooded bathrooms were my only dilemmas.

Great looking hotel. Beach area super clean. The initial check-in felt more of a high pressure scenario to get “deals” by taking the 90 minute (over 2 hours) time-share presentation. I didn’t like that part. Not sure if my floor was exceptionally noisy but it was awful. Loud yelling, doors slamming, furniture moving…it was like that all night. Luckily I brought my Ozlo earbuds, life savers!! Food choices weren’t great either. The daily LITTLE deli/coffee area was exactly that! Not a great selection at all. Pretty disappointed. If it wasn’t for beautiful ocean, I wouldn’t really recommend it at all.

Been coming to this resort for 10+ years but this visit the AC didn't work in our room, the food program went down hill since wyndham took over but I still love the resort. Fix the food program (quality and options)

My group and I have stayed here three years in a row. While the place is clean and the staff is friendly, recent changes have made it feel more about the hotel’s convenience than the guests’. Housekeeping is great, and the disco being moved indoors was a nice upgrade. However, dining has become a nightmare. They claim to have four restaurants, but only the Paloma buffet is accessible without a hassle. They added an app for reservations, but it never shows any availability for the other three restaurants. Asking in person doesn’t help—you’re told everything must be done through the app. They also replaced the Brazilian steakhouse with a basic one, and worst of all, tacos are now only offered every other day, alternating with sushi. If I’m traveling to Mexico, I expect more access to Mexican food, I don’t want barbecue chicken or Italian. I can get that at home. I wouldn’t expect someone from Mexico to come to the U.S. and expect us to cater everything to them. But again this is a business and of course they want to serve you the cheapest food available and what better than chicken and pasta. This isn’t a bad place overall, but if you’re coming for authentic Mexican food and culture, prepare to be disappointed.

They have one buffet which is open for everyone. They also have 3 restaurants which are open some days but need reservation. They have an app for restaurant reservation. Staff told us that it opens reservation at 9am but it showed full at 8.30am. It means staff somehow made reservations before it opened for people. If it's so full in October, you can imagine the food options during holidays.
