I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was such a letdown that I feel others should be aware. From the moment we checked in, the issues started. The bathroom had a strong sewage odor, and instead of actually fixing the problem, the hotel simply poured bleach over it. This left us with a mix of sewage and overpowering bleach smell that never went away. The mini-fridge didn’t keep drinks cold, which is the least you’d expect at an all-inclusive resort in a warm climate. There was also an unknown banging noise from 3 AM until 7 AM every night of our stay. It was impossible to sleep, and the hotel never provided an explanation or solution. But the food was by far the worst part of our visit. You have to make dinner reservations, and they fill up within minutes, making it nearly impossible to secure a spot. There are only three restaurants for dinner, and one of them doesn’t allow children, so the options were even more limited for families. We did manage to get into the steakhouse, but after two bites of the ribeye, I couldn’t continue—it was genuinely inedible. The buffets were terrible as well, offering bland, low-quality food that never improved at any point during the trip. I’ve stayed at other all-inclusive resorts before and always enjoyed the food, so I know what a good experience looks like. Unfortunately, this resort fell far below expectations in almost every category. I would not recommend this resort, and I won’t be returning.

The timeshare sales representative repeatedly approached me in the lobby, which felt intrusive and made me very uncomfortable. Additionally, the service quality was poor at times, with noticeable delays and inadequate handling of basic requests. If you want it slightly more formal or more direct, I can tune it further.

If I had never been to another resort in Mexico, I would’ve thought this place was wonderful! It has great staff, amazing AMAZING views, great pools and beach, and good quality food. However, there were things I didn’t love such as the quantity of food, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the entertainment. The people who entertained were great, the area where they entertained made me feel like I was watching a middle school production. Also, if the weather had been poor, I’m not sure there would’ve been much to do. All I want when I go to Mexico is to get all the guac and pico I can, and that was never in the buffet. I’ve always been able to go to a buffet in any state I’m in (from the pool) and find so many options but I just felt like options at the buffet were very slim. Rooms were great, just a little musty and could’ve been a tad cleaner.

We had a fantastic time at the Wyndham Grand Cancún Resort! For the economic pricing you truly get a fantastic experience. The top 3 highlights would be the staff (so friendly, helpful, and professional), the cleanliness (resort and rooms are well maintained and kept to high standards), and the food! The buffet is just fine but the restaurants and lunch spots do it right! For a first time experience at an all inclusive resort this was the best time! Would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a well priced vacation! Thank you Wyndham Grand staff!
