Kun se tuli perheellemme ja Charles Charlesille, se oli rakkautta ensi silmäyksellä. Rauha ja hiljaisuus, lahden kauneus, rannan lämmin hiekka, ystävälliset ihmiset ja eklektiset kaupat ja ravintolat ... kaupunki valloitti sydämemme välittömästi. Perheemme (äiti, isä, viisi lasta ja Bernin vuoristo koira nimeltä Yankee) on rakentanut miljoonan vaalia muistoa, ja toivomme myös, että sinäkin!

Cape Cottage on puhdas, viihtyisä, viehättävä viktoriaaninen ... täydellinen paikka Cape Charles -ranta-lomalle! Rauhallinen keskustan sijainti jättää sinut vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä ostosmahdollisuuksista, ravintoloista ja (mikä tärkeintä, niin paljon kuin olemme huolissamme) rannalla.

Koti on kolme makuuhuonetta ja kaksi täyttä kylpyammeet. Olohuoneen poikkipinta-alaan kuuluu ulosvedettävä sänky, jos haluat puristaa muutamia ylimääräisiä vieraita. Rakastamme koiraamme ja emme halua lomata ilman häntä; oletamme, että jos sinulla on koira, haluat tuoda hänet myös!

Talossa on kaikki mitä tarvitset mahtavaan lomaan - keittiö on tilava ja siinä on kaikki ruukut, pannut, astiat ja laitteet, joita sinulla on kotona (kahvipannu, Keurig, Nespresso - mainitsimme, että ovat kahviloita?). Talossa on kaapeli-tv (olohuoneessa ja kahdessa makuuhuoneessa on taulutelevisio), WiFi, keskuslämmitys ja ilmastointi sekä tilattava kuuma vesi (joten koko henkilökunta voi puhdistaa ilman säiliön tyhjennystä!) .

Ulkopuolella on ympäröivä eteinen kuisti (josta puolet seulotaan viatonta rentoutumista varten), jossa on kuisti-keinu ja lepotuolit. Takana on tilava takapiha, jossa on valot, kannettava palo, hiiligrilli / tupakoitsija ja ulkoruokailusetti. Luo maissi-aukko tai hevosenkengät, heitä jotain maukasta grillille, avaa haluamasi kylmä juoma ja katso aikaa lentää.

Disappointing

Great location. Plenty of parking. The big issue was cleanliness. Upon our 5:45pm arrival, the house was not cleaned by a service. The owner promptly sent cleaners over. Kitchen pots and pans, bowls, and silverware was dirty, and…there were roaches.

Family friendly stay in Cape Charles

The place was perfect for our family. Our family of five fit perfectly in the connected rooms and then the grandparents stayed in the room with the king bed. Everyone was comfortable and we loved the location. The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off the sand after the beach and the house was well stocked. Overall it was a great beach stay!

The house location was excellent. The kitchen was a bit of a disappointment, it was small and the pots and pans were lacking in the sense there were no smaller pots and the layoff was not functional. The upstairs bath needs updated the tub needs reglazing and its dangerous to use. I have some mobility issues so its not user friendly to older people. Otherwise we enjoyed our time there

Overall we really enjoyed this property. We found it had everything we needed and the location was great. There was some cleanliness issues…. Food on plates and pans, coffee left in carafe, grounds left in machine, hair/dust balls on floors, stained towels. Not overly objectionable but greater care is needed on these items.

House had so much to offer. We didn’t stay long enough to utilize all the fun things. Great location. Lots of space to hold large groups. Mike was super easy to work with. Answered questions in a timely fashion. We’ve stayed in several homes in Cape Charles and this was one of our favorites.

Comfortable pet friendly get away

Plenty of space and beds for our family of 5. Large sectional in living room is so comfortable, offering a nice gathering spot for the family. Home is well stocked with towels, cookware, and paper supplies. The coffee bar with choice of Nespresso, keurig, and standard coffee brewing is awesome. The kids love the surrey and bikes, and mom appreciates the outdoor shower to rinse off the beach! But above all, pet friendly is most appreciated. There’s no dog fur on the furniture or carpets, the home is kept very clean. The owner is friendly and so easy to communicate with. We love staying here every summer.

Lovely beach getaway!

We had the best long weekend here in Cape Charles. The property is lovely. For those traveling with young children, it's set up with all the bedrooms upstairs. The main bedroom and first bedroom are off the main hallway, and the second bedroom is through the first bedroom - however there is a second set of stairs from the second bedroom to the first floor, so no one is ever "trapped" by a bedroom. Sorry, that's a little hard to visualize but view photos for more perspective. We had 3 adults and 2 children (3 and 5) with us, and there was ample space. Major bonus: blackout curtains in the first bedroom so my kids didn't wake up with the sunrise! We mostly ate in, and the kitchen was nicely stocked with cookware. We found some beach chairs and an inflatable raft in the shed, along with a SUP (did not test this out but it was there). I highly recommend a golf cart! It's a nice 10-15 walk to the beach and same distance to the brewery, but it was really fun to drive around the town. Host was kind and responsive. Check-in and check out were a breeze. We really enjoyed this and hope to be back again next year.

Needs updating

The house needs updating. The kitchen floors need to be changed. The bathroom sink needs to be fixed, the stove needs to be cleaned. The beds were nicely done when we arrived but the mattresses need to be changed. Over-all, we enjoyed our stay, it was a nice neighborhood. Beach, church and shops were nearby.

Great house for a laid back stay

We had a wonderful vacation at this house! With 3 kids under 5 and a dog, not all homes can accommodate, but this house sure DID! The living space and dining areas were open and comfortable, and the bedrooms were cozy. The location is great-we walked to the park multiple times for the kids and the dog to enjoy! The only negative we had was the mountain of trash that was overflowing the trashcan when we arrived was very smelly and brought a lot of flies. Unfortunately trash pickup didn’t happen until we had already been there for a couple days. Overall we loved it. Lots of good memories were made during our stay!

Property was dated! Showers are functional but definitely not luxurious! But, the house has a lot of charm. Landscaping could DEFINITELY BE ADDRESSED! And the keyless entry was so temperamental a few times I thought we weren’t going to get in. A little TLC would have gone a long way. Also, no instructions in house for check out procedures or if there was I could not find it.

First time at the Cape

My husband and our doggies had the best time visiting and staying at this Charming home. The owner was amazing answering any questions we had . The house was beautiful and historic . We loved it. The location was perfect to all the things . We were able to take the dogs to a lot of the places . House had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the front porch and swing . We can’t wait to come back and stay with our dogs again soon.

We will be back!

We stayed at this property for a wedding weekend for a family member. This property was amazing! The host is very accommodating and responsive! The home was clean and well maintained. Loved that the linens were provided! The rest of our family stayed a few houses down, so it made for an easy commute. This home is perfectly located to all of the local spots, and all within walking distance. We hope to return soon!
