Modern studio apartment in the CBD. The Barracks is an architectural
masterpiece that has lovingly blended heritage and modernism. With a
vertical separation, the modern new structure floats above the parapet
line, ensuring that the old and new stand out.
The visually 'light' glazing skin and sloping facade's envelope have
been setback from Strand Street to preserve and highlight the historic
scape of the 18th-century Lutheran Church. When you walk into The
Barracks, you're drawn in by the ceilings made of authentic yellowwood
beams from the 1700s, and a connection of moments in history appears in
various exposed nodes throughout the building, where natural clay
brick, sea sand, and even sea shells make up a structure that has now
become one of Cape Town's most iconic structures.
The Space:
This designer apartment that offers a warm interior with captivating
decor and designer furniture. The open-concept living area is bathed in
natural light, while the fully equipped kitchen and luxurious bedroom
area provide comfort and style. There is a convenient study desk and
the bathroom features a walk-in shower.
Located in the heart of the city, you'll have easy access to
attractions, nightlife, and cultural experiences. The best cafes and
restaurants in the city are right at your doorstep.
The building has a 24/7 front desk and access control, and
elevator/lift access.
Guests have the option to access Lighthouse – a rooftop space featuring
a saltwater pool, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a cozy lounge area perfect
for working or unwinding with a treat from their deli. This facility is
not part of The Barracks building amenities and is independently
operated by Lighthouse.
